Trenor Motors, Inc. Reviews (2)

The vehicle in subject was at Trenor motors for oil consumption, the vehicle came into the shop with miles the vehicle is out of warranty, trenors service call GM to advise, Gm agreed to cover two third of the repair [GOODWILL] if customer will cover one third, customer agreed to pay
there share of the repair dollars the vehicle then was repairedAfter the vehicle was repaired customer picked the vehicle upthe vehicle then was drove miles, while on vacation in Alabama the vehicle developed a problem, the customer call Trenors at that time we contacted the nearest Gm dealer to have the vehicle towed there, the customer called trenor and wanted to know what Gm was going to do about the problem we told the customer to get the vehicle diagnosed and we will call GM, the dealer in Alabama said it needed a motor, we call GM, the vehicle that was repaired at Trenors under a goodwill policy there was no warranty on the repair
At that point Trenors call the dealer in Alabama ask what was going on with the vehicle all they would say it need a motor and the repair done at Trenors was not done correct, Trenor then ask have they started to work on the vehicle the service manager said no but they had plans to start to start working on the vehicle the next day, Trenors then contacted the customer to see if the customer will authorize Trenor to go to Alabma with a trailer to bring vehice back to our shop for whatever repair may need to be done, the customer said that would be just fine, The next a day Trenors contacted the Alabama dealer to tell them we will be coming to get the vehicle to bring back to Ohio, the service manager then informed Trenors that the vehicle was in the shop and repairs have already been started and the heads of the motor have been taken off, at that point Trenors didn't want to go To Alabama to bring a vehicle back with a box of parts, so the vehicle remained in Alabama and the dealer sold the customer a motor
The customer returned to Ohio came to Trenor wanted to know what we were going to do about helping with the cost of the motor in Alabama, at that point Trenors offered the customer the one third that the customer paid for the repair she paid Trenors for dollarsthe customer declined and wanted two thirds of the repair cost she paid in Alabama
Trenors feel that they tried do help the customer in all areas of this situation, contacting dealer in Alabama, offering to bring vehicle back to Ohio for repairs, and trying to make the customer whole on any expenses on the repair done at Trenors shop that the customer had,[ the one third for the first repair]
Thank you

Complaint# [redacted] 'Trenor Motors, Inc.- Chevrolet-Buick-GMC' via Info ([email protected]) Fri, 03/11/16 3:28 pm In response to Mrs. [redacted] My name is Dale D[redacted] I am the service manager at Trenor Motors,...

inc. Im am the one that quoted the transmission replacement to the [redacted] of $ 3800.00 plus tax [redacted] called me and told me they were having their 2007 Saturn Outlook towed to us to have the transmission replaced an that they have had the vehicle to another shop. When Trenors received the vehicle on 2/22/2016, I went out and retrieved the information from the vehicle an wrote an invoice. My technician then confirmed after looking at the vehicle that it did need a transmission, as it was towed to the dealership with the transmission removed an other parts in the back of the vehicle in a box Trenors then order a transmission after calling Mrs [redacted] an retaining a 2000. dollar deposit on a no returnable parts On or about 2/24/2016 Trenors received the parts to repair the vehicle an proceeded to repair the [redacted] vehicle, but there were many missing nuts and bolts the engine knock sensor was damaged an could not be reused so Trenor absorbed the cost of the sensor which was $60.64, After completion we discoerved that the wiring connector for the TCM was broken, I then called [redacted] and informed her about the cost and time delay because of having to order the parts. We received the parts the next day 2/26/2016 the technician also had to transfer several wiring terminals from the old to the new one. As a result of receiving in a box an missing parts the technician retrieved from his tool box that the customer was not charged for. We also absorbed the price of the engine knock sensor $60.64 TRANSMISSION WIRING CONNECTORS $ 25.76, 1-SEAL $9.48, 1- NUT $4.79, The final bill still only totaled $3782.30 plus tax as a result of reduction in the labor charges to offset the additional parts and repairs needed. I talked to the technician again this morning, he assured me that he did not have the steering tie rods loose and that the steering gear at the firewall was able too support the engine cradle without removing it to reinstall the transmission. maybe Trenor s should have caught the loose tie rod but again Trenors did not do the original dis-assembly. Then after learning about the loose tie rod we had the vehicle towed to Trenor at no cost again to the [redacted], Trenor replaced the tie rod at no cost to the [redacted]. As for the transmission fluid spilled in the rear of the vehicle, this was done by who ever had the vehicle before the vehicle came to Trenors, I did tell [redacted] about the fluid. Trenors feel bad about the situation but felt by absorbing these additional cost of repairs that Trenor did everything ethical and in a professional manner. It is also Trenors shop policy that we normally, don't make repair on vehicles that have been disassembled by someone else, this making it vary difficult for missing parts and reassemble Sincerly Dale D[redacted] Service manager Roger T[redacted] President Trenor Motors, Inc.
