I have been out for the last days, my apologies for the delay in my response I did have my manager send *** *** a check the day you and I spoke for the disputed amount of $
"">My response to her claim is that Potholes have been a very sore subject in the State of NJ for the last two winters. I have replaced at least tires due to side wall blowout--otherwise known as a Bubble in the side of the tire. Her claim that we sold her defective tires is absurd, *** *** is now celebrating years in business this June. I can only surmise that her referring to one of my counter sales persons as commenting "it happens all the time" is essentially the truth. There are days not uncommon we see 10-customers with the same issue. Not to mention that the size of her tire R18, has a higher rate of side wall damage due to pothole hits. The second set of numbers---40---is called the aspect ratio of the tire, or what most people would say is the "profile". A thinner walled tire is subjected to a much higher incident of sidewall damage. Lastly, the two rims that she had the blow out had significant "curb rash, heavily scored alloy wheel marks. Not to mention one of her rims were bent, although it was not worthy of a repair of which we would have offered her the option for us to send the rim out and be repaired. We were able to balance the rim to 100% of manufacturers specs

Review: I recently bought 2 new tires that both blew out within a 24 hour period of purchase. I called Trenton Tire and suggested that perhaps these tires were defective and they were quick to respond oh no "it happens all the time".I find this difficult to believe although I am aware of the many potholes however what are the chances of two brand new tires hitting a pothole soooo precisely to cause such devastating results.I think the business should stand behind their products and could have agreed to pursue the possibility of a defect.I've never had an issue with Trenton Tire before but I feel the tires should have been returned to the manufacturer for. Safety purposes and allow me to choose different tires without further expense to me. Not everyone has over 300 dollars ever couple of days to buy tires.Desired Settlement: because of the circumstances ,I feel these tires were an inferior or defective product and the chance of blowing two new tires within 100 miles is pretty unlikely even being extra cautious after the first one blew. To avoid further safety and costly issues Trenton Tire should hold [redacted] responsible and not the consumer..I should be refunded for whatever I paid for the [redacted] tires.
