I encourage this company to check their recorded calls because it will finally clarify what was stated about advertising Please check your call logs on September & as those are the day(s) when you were initially contacted & signed up for the show The rep you had worked with not only markets for our events but she is also the person that solidifies advertising for the shows so I can assure you she only told you we would work with radio or newspaper (never TV) and that the majority of your business will come from existing mall traffic Please forward a copy of the recording to the Revdex.com so that they too can hear it It is unfortunate that your company did not receive the results you had hoped for, but we cannot control the traffic, attendance to the event, or the success of the show for each individual exhibitor regardless of the amount of advertising done to promote the show This is why we clearly note that in the Exhibitor Contract

I’m writing in
response to the complaint filed by *** *** *** regarding their disappointment with the event at
the Tysons Corner Center and request for a refund of the monies paid
for participationFor review I have attached
a copy of the ad that ran in the McLean Connection (1/page
color ad) along
with the advertising that ran with IHeart Media (WASH FM & IASH FM)
promoting the event. In addition to the radio & newspaper promotion
the Tysons Corner also promoted this event in their consumer e-blast that went
out Friday evening and their social media on Saturday and we also had onsite
mall signage (attached is a copy of the sign). There is no way to
predict the traffic coming to the mall on any given weekend or where people
will shop, regardless of the advertising done for the show. Our exhibitor
paperwork clearly states that your business will come from the existing
traffic in the mall, not the advertising to promote the event (item #
on page of the exhibitor contract). Our events are a form of off-site
marketing / advertising for your company, and just like advertising in the
newspaper and/ or radio, or any other form of advertising your company may do,
there is no guarantee that it will produce the results you hope for Mall Wide Events fulfilled our
contract with your company. Although we are disappointed that you had
such a bad experience with the show, we unfortunately will not be refunding you
your monies paid for the event as we cannot control the success of any
individual exhibitor in our events

This company did participate in an event our company set up October 28-31, 2016, and contacted us this morning expressing their disappointment with the show On their complaint filed with the Revdex.com it was stated that the 'exhibitor contract' was downloaded and I want to let you know that what
was downloaded was not the exhibitor contract - it was set up & take down information I have attached a blank Exhibitor Agreement (Page & 2) that this company did sign Please note item #on page of the exhibitor agreement where it very clearly states that 'business will come from the existing mall traffic.' Contractor makes no guarantee to any amount of advertising. Even though we were not contractually required to advertise the show our company did promote the event through a local newspaper that was recommended by the mall We cannot control the amount of consumers that may or may not come to the mall on any given weekend It is unfortunate that this company did not receive the results they had hoped for but we in no way promised them the advertising they claim in their initial complaint and in no way mislead them

We addressed Mr. [redacted]'s concern with the advertising done for the show, and provided him with copies of what was done.  In no way did Mall Wide Events ever promise or indicate that there would be an extensive advertising campaign run for this event.  Again, the Exhibitor Agreement that Mr. [redacted] was provided with clearly states that 'the business will come from the existing traffic in the mall.  Contractor makes no guarantee to any amount of advertising.'  I did attach a copy of the ad in the newspaper for Mr. [redacted].  As far as the radio advertising that ran we have provided him with the ad that did run. If he feels it necessary to verify that the ad did run he can certainly contact the radio station directly.

To mall wide events we are already looking at it. You seen to be stuck in the "qe are sorry you didn't get business you expected"  you sound design like a broken record.   It was about your deception to every vendor there and nothing more

I encourage this company to check their recorded calls because it will finally clarify what was stated about advertising.  Please check your call logs on September 7 & 8 as those are the day(s) when you were initially contacted & signed up for the show.  The rep you had worked with not only markets for our events but she is also the person that solidifies advertising for the shows so I can assure you she only told you we would work with radio or newspaper (never TV) and that the majority of your business will come from existing mall traffic.  Please forward a copy of the recording to the Revdex.com so that they too can hear it.  It is unfortunate that your company did not receive the results you had hoped for, but we cannot control the traffic, attendance to the event, or the success of the show for each individual exhibitor regardless of the amount of advertising done to promote the show.  This is why we clearly note that in the Exhibitor Contract.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Its b[redacted]me very clear that this business operates by vocalizing one thing and then Covering it with sketchy info. Why would they say "All Business will come from Mall traffic" and then run radio and print ads. It's clear this business has no intention of honoring their commitments. We have 6 other companies who will attest to these deceptive trade practices. We appreciate the Revdex.com attempts to help but it is clear we need to persue other avenues of redress.

I do not accept Mall Wide Events explanation. We have done Home Shows successfully for many years and are always cautious and ask for details regarding the advertising for a show as we know that unless it is advertised, it cannot be successful. If it had been explained that they only intended to run a couple of cheap ads in a local newspaper that nobody reads and radio spots on a Radio Station very few people listen to except teenagers, we never would have agreed to do this Show. Business's thinking of using the services of Mall Wide Events should be aware that all they appear to do is lease space from the Mall and then rent it for far more than a business could have just gone to the Mall themselves and rented space. In addition, it is our opinion that the amount of advertising they do is just enough to cover themselves from legal action. Bottom line, avoid Mall Wide Events. It's nothing but a complete waste of money and time in our opinion. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Regards,[redacted]

Response to Complaint #[redacted]: Mall Wide Events set up a Home & Lifestyle Expo at the Cottonwood Mall in January and unfortunately upon our arrival to the mall we were notified of required floor plan changes for the event which inevitably meant that some exhibitors would have to be...

relocated.  From time to time this does happen with our events due to carts & kiosks that lease space from the mall on a month to month basis that ultimately eliminate our proposed exhibit spaces for our event.  Because we know that this can happen on occasion we clearly state in the Exhibitor Agreement that if unforeseen circumstances arise at the show (such as floor plan changes) we do reserve the right to reallocate an exhibit space to the affected exhibitor.  For this event we did have required floor plan changes that meant us relocating a few of the exhibitors from their requested location to alternate locations and Champion Windows was one of the exhibitors that needed to be moved.  We relocated them into the main corridor along with several other exhibitors (not away from the rest of the show as Ms. [redacted] stated) and several of these exhibitors did quite well in the show.  During the event our onsite rep had received other requests from 2 other exhibitors to relocate their display because they were unhappy with their location, and our rep honored their request and found them alternate locations in the mall that they felt better suited their needs, and relocated them after the mall closed.  It is against mall policy to move anything while the mall is open due to liability reasons. Our onsite rep was not aware that Champion Windows was unhappy with their location until Ms. [redacted] contacted him on Sunday around noon (just 5 hours before the show was over) when she called him asking if she could move her display.  Because the mall was already open there was nothing we could do to accommodate her request to move.  Had she made the request earlier in the show our rep would have gladly relocated their display just as he had with 2 other companies.  Ms. [redacted] claims that she wasn’t aware of the move because the people she had running her display were ‘temp people’, but there was no way for us to know that the people running her display were ‘temp people’ and our staff shouldn’t be held accountable for the lack of communication between Ms. [redacted] and her ‘temp people’ running the display.  We feel that our offer of a 50% credit is more than adequate being that had we were not made aware of her disappointment until it was too late to do anything about it.
