My son was in the psych division of north visa hospital for daysHe was released yesterday around 4pmHe was given prescriptions to fill and was assured that staying on the meds was imperative to his mental stabilityWe got to the pharmacy immediately and were told only of the prescriptions could be filledOne was out of stock and No other pharmacy had itObviously this is not a commonly used medThe other medication was not being allowed by the insurance, because the coding was invalid and needed to be correct by the doctor Needless to say, my son missed the evening and morning doses of the extreme psychotic meds and woke up back in a manic stateI,ve spent the entire day calling and leaving messages for DrBernstein, the staff psychiatrist, who has not returned a call from me or the pharmacy or the hospital How very disrespectful and unprofessional of this hospitalI did contact the hospital days agoStill no responseA law suit may soon follow

My son was in the psych division of north visa hospital for 7 days. He was released yesterday around 4pm. He was given 4 prescriptions to fill and was assured that staying on the meds was imperative to his mental stability. We got to the pharmacy immediately and were told only 2 of the prescriptions could be filled. One was out of stock and No other pharmacy had it. Obviously this is not a commonly used med. The other medication was not being allowed by the insurance, because the coding was invalid and needed to be correct by the doctor.
Needless to say, my son missed the evening and morning doses of the extreme psychotic meds and woke up back in a manic state. I,ve spent the entire day calling and leaving messages for Dr. Bernstein, the staff psychiatrist, who has not returned a call from me or the pharmacy or the hospital.
How very disrespectful and unprofessional of this hospital. I did contact the hospital 4 days ago. Still no response. A law suit may soon follow.
