Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Thanks to Tom M*** sending me emails every time he ran into a problem instead of picking up the phone and calling me I have the actual timeline of events below I would be more than happy to provide copies to the Revdex.com if needed May 3rd I went into Tri City Cabinets to get an estimate for cabinets for my shop There was not a soul in the store that could help me with drawings and placing an order so I had to wait on Tom M*** to call and set up an appointment May 22nd Tom called and I went in to see him I gave him dimensions and details about the cabinets and he did a drawing and priced them for me They were to be ash with 3” styles and rails with a white melamine interior and stacked doors on pantry cabs I needed to measure the bath cab just to double check it and emailed him numbers May 24th I got drawings from Tom and they showed the stacked doors on the pantry, white melamine, 3” styles and rails in a framed style cabbut no mention of the chop saw sides being finished and were also oak on the PO May 26th I sent Tom an email and reminded him about the chop saw cabthe measurements of the vanity and height as well (Per original order) because he did not have it listed as kitchen height but instead regular bath room height He also had the cabs in oak instead of ash I asked him to make the changes so we would not have problems down the road Tom replied, changes madeThanks! The order was supposed to be in by weeks June 14th I got an email from Tom and he said they could not do the framed cabsDue to a problem with who knows what…I got all kinds of excesses This was the first mention of a refund I told Tom it would take forever to have another builder make the cabs for me and asked if there were any other options. June 16th Tom told me they could get me euro style cabsAnd upgrade me to oak for a $difference that they would absorb He stated they would be in by 3-weeks.July 11th now nearly time for delivery and Tom gives me a line about not being able to get cabs for up to weeks This made absolutely no sense to me as they were supposed to be in any day so I called Jay M*** for the first time I got the run-a-round for some time as he was either avoiding me or just did not want to deal with this. After multiple attempts to talk with Jay we talked at great length and he said I could have a full refund or he could look for a new builder and see if they could do the job He told me he would get back before the days end It was 3-days later and he assured me he could get me what I originally ordered within weeks I reminded him what I ordered originally and as he was checking things I told him I really wanted Hickory but that it was too expensive He then informed me that it was the same price as the oak from the new distributor so we went with that I asked Jay to send me a conformation on all the changes so that we could avoid any problems down the road and he said it would go out the next day as he would have Tom do that as he had my email address I never did get that email.Aug15th Tom called my wife to set up a delivery time as the cabs were in Aug 16th about hour late the delivery driver showed up and got cabinet off and I noticed the styles and rails were 1/2” instead of 3” as ordered and the melamine interior was brown instead of white They laughed and said to call Tom and they will replace them as this happens all the time They also said there were so many cabs in there shop that were returns as they were wrong that they had problems getting around the shop I called Tom and he said to unload the rest of the cabs and they would pick up the doors and replace them with correct size and we would more than likely get some refund due to the fact the melamine was the wrong color if that was acceptable. The cabs set in the shop for some time and I got the run-a-round Tom finally told me he talked to Jay and I would have to accept the cabs as is or they would refund me and that they would not fix their problems as there was no money in it! I was able to connect with Jay and he said if I accepted the cabs as is they would give me a $price cut I told him I still needed to unwrap and inspect the rest of the cabs and if we didn’t have any other problems that would be fine as I needed to start staining them and he guaranteed me that I would get the discount and to start staining them The next day I unwrapped the rest of the cabs and found that the pantry cabs had doors instead of and were warped and the other pantry cab had door instead of The chop saw cab was not finished on the sides like it was supposed to be and the cab to the right of the chop saw has the wrong side finished I sent Tom an email as I was to mad to call him and was afraid I would say something I would regret and told him about the new problems that I had noticed after inspection and he said he needed to come see them The next day at pm he showed up and I invited him into the shop to view the problems I stated that these were things that should not have got missed and asked him what they would do about it? He acknowledged that they were all problems that they made and stated that there was nothing they could do about it as there was no money in it for them He did however state that he did not remember the chop saw cab being pulled out I assured him it was and that I had to even remind him about it as it was not stated as so in the PO I told him that we had a contract and they have not stood up to their end of that contract He got mad at me and raised his voice and acted like it was my fault they have had so many problems and could not deliver on any of their promises I told him that he wasn’t worth much and asked him to leave and that I would take this up with Jay In a very smart as tone he told me that Jay would tell me the same thing he did I reminded him that was the same thing he told me about Jay before and Jay worked with me and was very understanding and wanted to make this work as did I if we could make it work.I called jay and again got the run-a-round It took some time for him to finally take a call and we discussed the options to get this taken care of in a way that we both could be happy and reminded him that there were more cabs to come if we could make it work He stated that his shop would build the doors for the pantry cabs in-house and had an idea of gluing panels onto the other cabs I told him I was not sure what he wanted to do and he said he would email me some illustrations of what he wanted to do and that if I wanted to do it I would have to measure the cabs I immediately called a cabinet builder and he came out to look at everything He was here the next day for inspection and he asked me why Jay isn’t replacing the cabs with the right ones? My reply…(No money in it) He said anything that was done to them besides replacing them was a *** *** fix for many reasons I called Jay within minutes of him leaving and got the run-a-round yet again and that’s when I called the Revdex.com to see if we could fix this without leaving a bad mark on the company and not having to take legal recourse As stated before, I have all the documents to back up everything stated above, so if needed please let me know!10-31-and still have not heard from Jay!Thank You,*** ***
Sincerely,
*** ***
