Tri City Pools Reviews (%countItem)

I could not have picked a better person to do this project for our pool. Clayton was immediately responsive when we first reached out and has been that way on every aspect of this job. He is more than professional, very respectful and it is clear that he puts customers first realizing the value of client service. We will continue to use Tri City Pools for all of our pool needs and I have already given him rave reviews to our friends. You can't go wrong with this team!

Clay has been my "go to" pool person since 2011. He headed a team to excavate around my pool, install a drainage system around the perimeter, and replace underground pipes, filter, pump, heater, drains, deck level concrete, coping and liner - essentially a rebuild. The problems I was experiencing before have not recurred since all the hard work and dedication of Clay and his team. Since then, I have relied on Clay and Tri City Pools for everything pool related - opening, closing, weekly maintenance, chemical balance, troubleshooting, converting to a salt based cleansing system, and general advice. Clay and his team have always shown up when scheduled and, for unscheduled work, the same day they say they will be there. I understand that sometimes we'd like work done by a contractor as soon as we place a call, but it's not an ideal world, and the good ones are busy. My experience is that, in all instances when I have needed help, Clay and his team have come the same day they say they will. They also are consistently polite, courteous and professional. I too have recommended, and will continue to recommend, Clay and Tri City Pools to others without hesitation.

When we bought a new house that came with a hot tub, we have never owned one before, we called Tri-City pools. We were able to get an appointment with Clayton pretty quick and came out and inspected it and taught us everything thing we needed to know about owning a hot tub. So glad we called and listened to him, the hot tub has worked great ever since and the water has been crystal clear thanks to his advice.
Clayton was nothing but professional. It was clear from the start that he knows hot tubs and pools. I would recommend him in a heartbeat if you don't want to be ripped off and want your expensive investment taken care of.

I have been using Clay and Tri City Pools for the better part of 15 years for all of my needs related to my pool. Openings, closings, maintenance issues, switching from a chlorine system to salt, replacement of the pool liner, etc. Clay has always been responsive, has always come when called, has always offered me advice and recommendations I can trust and in short, is someone I have referred to my friends. How many contractors can you say that about?
I was surprised to read a negative review about Clay. Sounds like it was a pool opening in May, an incredibly busy time in the pool business in the Northeast. For anyone who owns a pool, we all know that what we hope will take 30-45 minutes to open a pool never does. There are always complications. I find it hard to believe that Clay was anything less than professional. I've known Clay for more than 20 years. He has dealt with everyone in my family including my wife and children. He has never been anything other than kind, courteous and professional. I think we can chalk up the other reviewers comments to the reviewer having a bad day. We all have them.
I can , without exception, recommend Clay and Tri City Pools for all of your pool needs!!!

Tri City was the service vendor through *** in ***. We scheduled pool maintenance with *** and were told someone would be there to perform the work at 2 PM, after that time we called several times only to be told they were on their way. At 9:30 PM they showed up and began working on the pool pump with power tools by the headlights of their van. When told they could not continue using power tools at that time of night we asked to speak to the owner. Clayton was rude, dismissive, and apparently has no control over scheduling his employees. He said I should stop bothering him and let his guys work and if we wanted to reschedule it would be a couple weeks out. At that time we asked them to leave the property. This company is rude, has no respect for the customer and their time, and should be avoided.

Please see above response due to the fact that these 2 reviews are from the same people from the same occurrence on the same day.
Thank you.

We had a 2 pm appointment with *** Pools and they subcontracted with Tri-City without our knowledge. They did not show up. After several calls to ***, we were told that the crew would arrive at 7pm. No one ever called us to advise of lateness. When no one came by 8pm, we were upset. At 9:35 pm, they arrived, with the idea that they would do the work by the light of their truck head lights. No apology or explanation, just, "we've been busy". We sent them away when they started using power tools at 9:50pm. Will never use this company in the future!

We sincerely apologize we couldn’t get to your job sooner that day. I completely understand why you were upset. I was more upset with my guys for not calling you than anything else. It’s no excuse but in May we work every single day until dark. Most people understand. But you were certainly due a phone call to reschedule for the following available appointment. Unfortunately these things sometimes happen working long hours during the peak season. Again we apologize for the lack of communication.
