before the buyer was to move in Candice's husband called me n stated the house was sold n I didn't have to do the work.  At that point they canceled the contract without allowing me to continue with my work.  It cost me $120.00 to restock a special n I had my electrician there 3 different times my time is valuable and my whole schedule was very interrupted by this cancellation.  In all of the $1400.00 that was as a down payment is eaten up by 30 hrs X 55 per hr = $1650.00 plus $120.00 restocking fee which I just washed my hands in. Sincerely  [redacted]dba Tri-County ConstructionP.S. Yes I did tell them in the beginning that there was like $700.00 coming only from materials n my labor of time wasn't included.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
We find it hard to believe [redacted] when we have not received any documentation in regards to receipts of purchase, return receipts, or worked hour logs. We have already sought out legal counsel and we are in the process of working with the homeowners to have the property inspected to see if the work was truly been completed and the materials and time that [redacted] is stating he has used have actually been spent. We did not give [redacted] permission to enter our home without our knowledge, that is trespassing and breaking and entering. We had heavy foot traffic with showings in our home from potential buyers. It was our responsibility to insure that no repairs were being completed while a potential buyer was viewing the home. [redacted] never asked to set up dates or times, we have a notarized affidavit from the real estate agent stating she never gave permission for [redacted] to enter the home, nor unlocked the door for him, and when asked about the timeline for repairs he told my husband, "I have already been working on the home." When we asked how did you get into the home without us knowing and the home being locked, his response was "your home is very easy to get into." This is not okay and we have not felt comfortable with this ever since he said that! We believe [redacted] has taken advantage of the fact that we are far away from the home and we put our trust and money into a man that has no moral or ethical obligation to do right by his clients. If we do not receive purchase receipts, return receipts, order logs and any other information pertaining to the repairs with the home by January 1, 2018 we will be going to small claims and asking for double the amount of the cashed check ($2,800). The home inspection will also be taken into consideration. If the inspector finds that little to none of the repairs had been completed, then the hour logs and the receipts will play a very little role. We have been advised that litigation can be brought up to six years after the signed contract, but we would like to get this taken care of ASAP.  The contract did not give a time, nor did it give a penalty for canceling the work. Once [redacted] told us we would be receiving $700 back, we waiting for a number of weeks and finally received a text that is asking for our shipping address. When we got that text we were happy to hear that we should be expecting something in the mail from him, receipts, hour logs and/or check, but again [redacted] failed to provide anything. We have kept all of our text messages with [redacted] and the phone logs to show the lack of communication [redacted] provided after multiple attempts to communicate with him. We did inform [redacted] that we will be going to social media and sharing our experiences with TriCountyConstructionLLC, this is our right and civic duty as responsible consumers and other consumers need to be aware of previous dealings with this company. We do not plan to verbally "bash" the company, but we will be stating facts. We do not want to have another family go through what we have been through. We were very nervous to higher a contractor because of the reputation contractors do have, and we strongly feel that [redacted] is apart of that statistic. We will never feel the same about higher a contractor again, this experience has been extremely nerve-racking, frustration and down right unfathomable.
Regards,
[redacted]
