Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/19) */
We received a call from Mr*** on Sept 2, 2014, he indicated that he was having some trouble with the fenceWe set up an appointment to have his original salesmen meet him at the houseUpon inspection of the fence we did find some
concrete pods that were broken allowing the posts to move aroundAll the leaning posts were facing the west and the eastTypically when we see this, its a sign of wind damage from a storm or straight line windsThe west side of the fence was leaning into the yard and the east side was leaning away from the yardThe north and south sides of the fence were completely fine and solidThe homeowner indicated that the prior year there were a couple of loose posts and had worsened over the next yearHad he called us when he noticed a couple of posts it would have been a less expensive fixWe counted the posts that needed to be repaired, we came up with If the fence was not installed correctly as the homeowner stated, then the other posts would not be solid and functioningWe suggested that he contact his insurance company to have them inspect the fence, we had received other storm damage calls around that same timeWe provided Mr*** with an estimate on Sept 10, 2014, it was not for $as he is indicating, it was for $I am emailing this estimate to the Revdex.com for their recordsSince Mr*** was a previous customer, we provided him with a very competitive estimate to make the repairsWe did note on the estimate that posts broken during the disassemble of the fence would be in addition to the estimateAs stated on our contract the company cannot be held accountable for damages or risk arising from or related to acts of God

tThe gate needs to be straightenedThere is no grade of yard prohibiting the gate to be hung correctlyIf they did come as they say I was not contacted after their first visit
*** *** fence installation was complete on July 25, Our quality inspector examined the fence on July 30, and determined one gate appeared to be looseHe adjusted the gate as needed to correct the issueMrs***
called on Aug 18, claiming the same gate needed to be adjustedWe sent out a service technician the same day who determined the gate appeared to have been disassembledHe rehung the gate, adjusted as needed, and inspected the entire fence with the homeonwner to address any other concernsMrs*** called again on Sept 15, asking for the same gate to be adjustedWe dispatched a service technician within three days who inspected the gate and did not find anything wrongAnother call came in on Sept 26, asking to have another gate adjustment, claiming her cat was getting out of the yard under the same gateWe dispatched another technician the same dayThe technician determined the grade of the yard prevents us from lowering the gate any moreOne side of the gate is 1" off the ground, the other is 3" off the groundWe recommended to the homeowner the solution to the issue would be to purchase some top soil and spread it around under the gate to fill the gap in hopes the cat would be unable to escapeThe gate functions and operates as per manufacturer specificationsAll documentation supporting the efforts of the company are available at Tri County Fence & Deck for viewing
