Tri-County Industries Inc Reviews (2)

Review: These people bought the garbage pick up business from [redacted] ( who did an excellent job, by the way) some time in 2012. Their service was spotty at best. We attributed their poor service with getting used to the new area until, one morning, we were dragging our cans down the driveway just as the driver raced by. He stopped at a neighbor's house and we tried to get his attention but he just kept going. After several times of not having our garbage picked up, we found another company who does much better. My wife called Tri County to inform them we had another garbage service but was told we still would have to pay since they had already issued the bill. ( even though they weren't picking up garbage at our house) I would gladly pay $ 5 for every bag they picked up in dec of '12 and jan of '13, since the amount would be 0On another note, they have lost most or all of the customers in our neighborhood that [redacted] worked hard to make happy for all those yearsDesired Settlement: Delete this invoice from their records and cancel the collection activity

Review: There is more trash then can fit into just the one trash can. I put other trash in to the other cans. I've left them open for them to see its all trash ,but now they are telling me that I have to go pay for the other trash bags by getting tags to put onto them. We pay for three cans ,but not all are for trash. But why is it that they will mot take the trash out of the other cans. We have a disabled son and end up with alot of trash weekly ,so there is no way for us to get caught up with the trash unless they take it all. Can you (the Revdex.com ) help us out ? I'm not asking much ,just for them to do what we pay them to.Desired Settlement: For them to empty ALL of our trash cans.

Response:

RE; ID [redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted]We are in receipt of the above-mentioned complaint. This customer lives in the City of [redacted] where the service falls under a contract that the City bid out and awarded to Tri-County Industries. The contract provides for trash, recycling and yard waste collection. Residents are able to choose between cart service or tag service for their trash collection. The cart service is limited to the contents of the cart, with residents able to purchase extra bag tags for bags that will not fit inside their trash cart. If the resident chooses tag service, they purchase tags for each bag they place out to the curb, in addition customers can opt to receive carts for recycling (blue lid) and yard waste (green lid) collection. These carts can only be utilized for the designated materials (i.e.: trash or recycling cannot be placed in the yard waste cart). This customer opted for all three carts at the contracted rate of $50.07 per quarter. We would be more than happy to pick up any trash that is properly tagged as per the contract to which residents of the City are subject. However, the extra trash, tagged or not, cannot be placed in the recycling or yard waste cart. Extra bags should be tagged and placed beside the cart. Tags can be purchased at the municipal building or from Tri-County Industries. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-####,Sincerely, TRI-COUNTY INDUSTRIES, INC.Shelly MathiesonOffice Manager /sjmEnclosure
