Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Dear Revdex.comMy complaint with Tri County Rural water is I do not want the Tap removed but the only option's the company gave me is a monetary gain for them. The option's they gave me are to pay the monthly bill of $42.50 a month which is what I pay at my residence for using 4000 gallons of water or $1500.00 to remove. that tap has been there for 18 years with not a gallon of water used from it they have collected over $7000.00 from the previous owners who also paid tri county $600.00 to have it put in 18 years ago. so we are talking about $7600.00 tri county has collected in 18 years for an idle account. that land is for one of our grandkids to built on in 12 to 14 years so that's why I would like to leave it there. if I would choose to pay the $1500.00 to have it removed tri county water only removes the pipe they leave the road bore sleeve under the road which is the highest cost to putting a tap in. the only way I will be satisfied with tri county rural water is maybe consider only charging me a lower monthly charge than the $42.50 or if they are going to charge me $1500.00 to remove the tap then I want everything including the road bore sleeve removed. I just feel the thousands of dollars they have collected over the past 18 years on a tap that they have not had to supply 1 gallon of water to has paid for it self's why not leave it idle then went someone need's it in the future then start charging again

We received your complaint with an ID of [redacted]. Both new owners and former land owner have signed our membership papers and it states water charges shall commence 30 (thirty) days after the date service is made available, regardless whether or not I/we connect to the system. Also, I/we agree to...

the rules attached and made part of this document and to abide by the constitution, By Laws, Rules and Regulations now in effect or as enacted or amended by the district. It is agreed by the parties hereto that if the member elects to void this agreement, liquidated damages in the amount of $1500.00 shall be paid to the district, The amount of 1500.00 is agreed upon as liquidated damages in that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to prove the actual amount of said able forecast of probable actural loss because of the difficulty of estimating with exactness the resulting damages. When we got our funding for construction of the water line we had to secure so many taps for the project to cover our payments. This is why we have this on the membership papers. We have told both parties and we have the papers that they signed if you need them.
