Worst builder and policies
Worst experience ever with Tripointe homes. Please boycott Tripointe homes.

Run away from these people .................
This is the worst company you can think of. They are completely irresponsible and they don't care of about anything. We bought a house from them in one of their communities (Mayes Hall) and the delays has been crazy and the worst part is that they are so bad with estimating as well. If you want to buy a house it is better to find a responsible contractor or you can go with them if you have money you don't need.

ONE YEAR WARRANTY WAS NOT RESPECTED
Terrible, We have a built a new home in 2020 with Tri pointe at Glemont Metro and based on the one year warranty, they should repair our stairs and the don't to do it, I call several times, sent emails, but nothing, I did all my best to have them fix the stair but nothing. Now I have to file a complaint against Them.
The warranty department was unable to get it fix. on my last call, they just told me that they don't know what to do...

Jossue Majana #01846408
I answered an ad from the following link;
11009 Deckhouse Dr, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 | Zillow
https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/11009-Deckhouse-Dr-Rancho-Cucamonga-CA-91730/... I met a realtor named Jossue Majana and the “owner” Chen Lin and the owner's son Gin Lin. Once I arrived, they showed me a property that was “exactly” like the listing. Jossue advised me that the listed property had been rented on a 24-month lease to someone else. Joss knew my situation as I was selling my home and the close of escrow was approaching fast. I needed to secure a place to live so that the buyers of my current home could take possession of the property. He scammed me. He told me that because I had 1 derogatory mark on my credit report that he would " Do me a favor and approve me on the following conditions" $8000 Deposit $32000 for six months upfront of rent and $2400 to him as a “fee”. I was concerned about his fee because I did not agree to paying him and though that the owner should pay his fee. He stated that I was paying the owner for possession of the property at a prorated amount for October, and that is where his fee came from. On Saturday, October 16th I contacted Joss to advise him that escrow had closed, and I could get the money to rent the property. I was really in desperate need to secure a place to live but never had done anything like this, so I trusted Jossue. He advised me to wire the funds, but I was uncomfortable doing so. I asked him if I could provide cashiers check instead. He advised that he would ask the owner and get back to me. He reached out and stated that cashiers checks were fine and to bring them to his place of employment, Birch Bend in Shady Trailss in Fontana, California. I took him the cashiers checks, and he stated that he needed to “verify funds”. He advised me that he was off at 6pm and would meet me to give me the “keys” and garage openers. I got to the property at approx 6-6:30 and was met by Joss and the owner Chen Lin Gin Lin and the owner's daughter. I go inside, there are tenants still living in the mother n law quarters. Joss proceeds to say that he " Did not know that there were people still living here” But they will be out by the 28th ? I was not aware of this either. I went upstairs, the condo was still filled with furniture. They advised that they would move it out ASAP. They also advised that the tenants had no access to the house…only the garage, which was a lie. I went there the next morning to clean, as they did not get the place cleaned either, and the downstairs tenants were parked in the garage. I called Joss to advise that I'm uncomfortable with the situation. He tells me that I'm complaining too much…and accuses me of knowing about the tenants and the furniture in the condo and agreeing to all of it which is a lie. I never agreed to living in a condo with people that I do
not know with my children. I felt unsafe as the owners would use the keys to come in and out of the property at all times without contacting me first. I requested for the contract to be dissolved. Jossue is refusing to give me keys to the property mailbox keys the correct garage opener or keys to the mother n law quarters. I requested my money back as they have violated the contract on many levels. He scammed me for my money and is now refusing to give me full access as they already have my money. I need assistance in this matter. They took my money and now tare refusing me access to what I paid for.

Uneven start-up process
A new TRI pointe development underway in Katy, TX isn’t getting off to a great start. Talk about putting the cart before the horse. Early “potential “ buyers are encouraged to use their lenders I’m guessing to fund the development. I took this advice after receiving a “welcome” email. Two days have gone by now and all of my credit details have been shared with this outfit. Doesn’t feel right to me and the rep can’t answer a question.

Unprofessional and lack of communication too

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe issues are not "minor" fit and finish, and were not resolved (to date as far as I know)At the same time, they were unable to close the loan, as they failed to provide the VA with advance notice to allow for the VA inspection that was required for the loan to go to underwriting, so there would have been no purchase on the closing date regardless of the condition of the home Regards, [redacted]

TRI Pointe has offered a $payment toward the cost of a fence that the homeowner will installNotwithstanding this accommodation it is important to note that TRI Pointe disputes the allegations of the complaintThe fence installation was consistent with the contract and HOA guidelines and the HOA did approve the fence before installationMoreover, TRI Pointe was not informed that the fence was unsatisfactory until four months after the buyer moved in On a more particular note, TRI Pointe strives for transparency with its buyers and routinely performs beyond its contractual responsibilities Any inference that the company or its employees were less than straightforward with this buyer is specifically denied

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. [At no time were any offers made by Tri-Point to resolve the issues we brought to their attention. All items were discussed in a meeting with Tri-Point representatives, myself, and our real estate agent and the response at the time was that we were free to terminate the contract if we desired. Subsequently we received no other offers from Tri-Point so we tried to escalate a resolution to this by filing this complaint with the BBB and it has now been almost 10 months since the complaint was filed and this is the first response from Tri-Point. After filing this complaint and not hearing a response we accepted the advise of our agent to file the CO real estate commission forms for termination and return of ernest money so it would be on record that we asked for our ernest money back. While these CO real estate forms do not govern the purchase of this property Tri-Point then unilaterally terminated our contact citing a provision in our contract that we were not being cooperative. I do not believe it to be a valid argument that we were not being cooperative when no offer other than to terminate the contract was ever made by Tri-Point to resolve the issues. Since the dispute mechanism provided by the contract was not utilized it is my position that this unilateral termination by Tri-Point was not valid and we are therefore entitled to the full return of our ernest money.] Regards, [redacted]

Buyers and TRI Pointe reached a compromise on this issue during the sales process Basement construction was built as full foundation basement rather than transitional basement as originally planned Buyers were given the option of cancelling their purchase but the parties agreed to a $price accommodation after negotiations and some construction modifications The window about which buyer complains was never going to be a component of buyers home and existing window configurations are a result of the agreement between Buyers and TRI Pointe
