Review: I visited Tri Rivers Surgical in Butler, PA in October, 2013 and the visit was paid for. I received a bill for a knee brace in the amount of $52.48 which I paid by check. A few months later I received another bill for $52.48 and because I could not remember that I already paid for the brace, I paid it again. Then one month later I received a call from a billing agency [redacted]) and they said that I owed Tri-Rivers $52.48 and that I could use my credit card to pay over the telephone before they turned me into a collection agency. Because my mind was failing me in remembering that I already paid the bill, I told them that I would be sending them a check instead. Then the number 52.48 flashed through my mind and I checked my records to discover that I already paid the same bill twice. I began to feel like Tri-Rivers was running some kind of scam operation. So I called Tri-Rivers and talked to the billing person and explained that I had evidence that I paid the bill twice. She promised to refund me a check for $52.48. Surprisingly, I did receive the check in the mail. Now here we are ten months later and I received another invoice in the mail for $52.48. I also have a letter from a collection agency that my credit rating may be affected. I may be losing my mind, but I'm not totally there yet. If I end up in a home, please tell my heirs not to keep paying the $52.48 to Tri-Rivers Surgical. I am confident that an invoice will arrive every six months.Desired Settlement: 1. Restore my good credit rating2. Stop sending me invoices that have been paid3. Send me a written letter of apology4. Stop the possibility of this happening to other people5. Assure me that this is not a scam
