Review: I went to this dealer trying to get a car first they ask me to make a deposit I put down 500 which they told me that all my money will be refunded then I went back to conclude the deal they told me I needed a cosigner and I needed to put down more money I deposit a 1500 again. when they call me to come get the car they told me they couldnt take my trade in which is not what we have talk about so I went back to get my money they said to come back so they could see what they can do when I realize that the money they will be giving for my car is way too less then what I owe on it I decided to get back my deposit ,on july ** 2013 I went there to request my money they said the bank will charge me a fee which I did not sign any paper for any loan when I call the cop they told me its there policy that they charge me 20% which their was no where in the place or the website that said that. I have copy of the whole web page and I have been there 4 times never see a sign that said that and when I spoke to them prior to that they said all my monney will be refunded they gave me a check for 1600 and kept the 400 I told them to show me where does it say that in the place ,after hours of asking them ,they come out with a white paper in the back stating it was there which obviously wasn't when the cop start talking to them and I told them I will take them to court they say they will give me back an extra 200 . which I did not accept cause I work hard for my money. I need you to please follow up on this cause that is a rip off . dave and sam and webb told us the money will be refunded in fullDesired Settlement: I need my 400 back or I am taking them to court for it

Response:

The customer [redacted] had come to our dealership back in July of 2013 to purchase an automobile. The customer had given us a total of $2,000 dollar deposit to for the vehicle he was interested in purchasing. There was a trade-in involved which needed to be traded or the bank wasn't approving him for a second automobile loan. Two days before he was scheduled to pick up his new car, his friend got into a car accident with the vehicle he was trading in. The vehicle wasn't totalled and we told him we need to wait for your vehicle to be repaired to be traded in. He at that time requested to get a refund for his money. Our policy has a strict 20% cancellation fee if the applicant is approved by the lender based on the terms agreeed at the time of the deposit. We did not keep his deposit. We gave him a refund minus the 20%.

Review: On September **,** I brought a car from a dealership of the cost $14,177(finance). I also paid for a warranty, which was supposed to cover any damages to my car. Now that the engine of the car stopped working the warranty and the dealership refuse to fix the engine.Desired Settlement: Have the cars engine fixed or return the car to the dealership

Response:

To make a long story short, we had requested the customer to come in several times to pick up a new check for his deposit return. The customer was not approved and we are willing to give a full refund. We spoke to the customer on July **, 2013 and requested him to come in person to pick up the refund.

Please advise the customer the same.

Thanks

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Tri Star Motors used deceitful tactics, unethical business practices and lied by having us wait for a vehicle that was never delivered for several weeks & failing to return cash deposit made in good faith. After unsuccessful requests were made by phone, email and trips to the dealership, we were issued a check that was returned unpaid. Please refer to the email trend below that clearly documents & specifies in detail our numerous attempts to get [redacted]' deposit back.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,
