Response:July 15, To Whom it May Concern Re: Complaint [redacted] I would like to address this malicious complaint lodged against our company and to prove that it is without merit(1) In reference to our crew arriving late, it was due to construction work that has traffic backed upWe did, howeve, alert the customer and they were ok with itWe arrived and started the job at 9:30am instead of 9am(Customer initialed the contract start time, see attached contract) (2) In reference to the packing supplies chargesOn the day the customer booked the job, they were told (And it was put in writing) that all packing supplies used for the protection of their items would be additionalTo which they agreed by Esigning the order for service(See attached OFS) On the day of the move they were only charged for all the additional packing supplies that were used and listed on the contract(3)The owner of Eagle Van Lines personally supervised the moveAt the end, the customer signed off on the contract and was happy with our servicesSo it comes as a great surprise to find that they have lodged what can only be termed a 'malicious' complaint that seeks to damage our reputation(4) The customer signed the start and finish times and was aware that was the time the job took to be completedThis was also made clear when booking that the job is by the hour plus an hour travel timeAt the end of the job the customer did a walk through at both the place they moved out of and the one they moved into, checking that no items were left or missingHaving done that, they appeared happy with our services and had no complains about any damages to the houseNone of the above complaints were ever brought to our attention until nowAt Eagle Van Lines we strive for excellence and in providing our customers with excellent service and, most of all, a great experience in what can be a hectic periodWe would like very much for this matter to be settled in an amicable way as soon as possibleRegards, Kay S Office Manager Eagle Van Lines Moving & Storage

The customer has entered the wrong phone number on this complaint so when we attempted to call we could not reach himHe also left us a phone message with a different phone number, but that number doesn't answer and the voice mail is not set up We are attempting to contact the customer to
find out exactly what his problems are

I am rejecting this response because: Tuesday 06/14/at 3:PM I called Eagle Van Lines to speak with ***, who is the owner, but the employee who answered the phone stated *** was not availableThe individual asked me if he could help me with anything, so, as I proceeded to explain about the damage caused by the moving truck he said wait and hung up the phone on meI am posting my phone number *** and email (***) so that *** (owner) can contact me to resolve this matterThank you

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:There was no response on the extra hours that was charged. Why would they want to take a break and then charge the customer for extra hour? When I spoke with them on the phone, they said blankets are free and I would need only mattress coverTo see double the charge on the day of the move - than what was quoted was outrageous. Their customer service was fine on the phone when I booked them but despite showing up late the person who showed up was rude and arrogantTheir tone was threatening and uncooperativePlease see attached for the pictures for the damages causedThere are other pictures but I was only able to upload This company is a total rip off and should not be allowed in this business as their practice is unethicalJust to get business they quote one amount and charge the double on the day of move leaving customer with no option and that too with their arrogant behaviorTheir work quality is also questionable as you can see from the pictures.Regards,*** ***

I am rejecting this response because:This company has just copy pasted the previous response and is wasting everyone's time Their claim of me not providing water is utter Despite moving with kids and not hosting a party -- I gave them water in my own handsThese guys can claim whatever they wantLet's take for arguments sake they stopped for mins to get water -- wouldn't that cause extra time on their work?This is one of the unethical companies I have ever seenFirst they quote an amount and charge the double on the day of the move leaving customer with no option at the last minuteAs I have stated earlier, they damaged my walls and furniture'sIn fact these guys came without needed tools and damaged my cot to remove one of the screwsThese guys are absolute rip off, which others needs to be aware so that they don't fall into the same trap

We arrived and started the job at 9:30am instead of 9am. (Customer initialed the contract start time, see attached contract) (2) In reference to the packing supplies charges. On the day the customer booked the job, they were told (And it was put in writing) that all packing supplies used for the protection of their items would be additional. They stopped for 5 minutes to buy some bottles of water (customer never offered the crew so much as a drink of water). At the end of the job the customer did a walk through at both the place they moved out of and the one they moved into, checking that no items were left or missing. Having done that, they appeared happy with our services and had no complains about any damages to the house. None of the above complaints were ever brought to our attention until now. At Eagle Van Lines we strive for excellence and in providing our customers with excellent service and, most of all, a great experience in what can be a hectic period.
