not an emergency we would stop by when we were in the area after it warmed up. He then called several days after the first call saying no one got back to him, and I reminded him that I spoke to him just 1 week prior and would not forget. I also instructed him to call the number on his contract and not the salesman if he had any other questions. The customer purchased gutter protection from us ONLY, his gutters and roof were purchased and installed by some other.  We  changed the pitch of the front gutter for no charge at the customers request at the time of installing the gutter protection to help prevent water from dumping on his driveway. On Thursday March 24, 2016, I personally was present to address his complaint and found that the system was operating fine and the gutter was indeed pitched correctly as proven with a leveling device. I then called to report my findings to the customer and mentioned that I noticed the shingles on his roof were 2" longer then normal and suggested he trim the shingles so the protection would have the maximum amount of screen exposed for monsoon rains, but are operating fine and will continue to operate correctly under normal conditions. We did not install his roof shingles and were not contracted to do so and are not responsible for there preexisting condition. My installers are not permitted to modify the roofing shingles for liability reasons. I am sorry that a previous contractor, not our men, did not follow standard guidelines for roofing. We can however, as a courteously, recommend a roofing contractor who could trim his shingles to the proper length, but still can not bear responsibility for something we did not sell or install.  I would also like to note that nowhere in our presentation or advertising does it imply that the gutter protection product captures 100 % of the water.
