Review: We purchase gutter guards a few years ago with life time warrantee and the gutter guards are not working - water is seeping through. We cannot read the manufacturer on the contract. It looks like [redacted]. We would appreciate being supplied with the manufacturer of the gutters so we could contact them since Tri-State is out of business.

Please tell us what we could do to compensate for this lifetime warrantee. The gutter guards were pretty expensive with the warrantee.

Review: a couple of years ago we had Tri-State come in and water proof our basement...it was great, but now we are getting water in the basement several times causing damage to furniture, rugs ect. this has happened at least four times. tried to contact the company several times only to find out they are no longer in business, this is suppose to have a life time guarantee. It wasn't cheep and we financed the project through there lending companyDesired Settlement: I want a refund for what we paid which was $12,000 and compensation for the loss of our items, I need the refund in order to find an other company to water proof the basement

Review: We purchased gutter guards from this company a couple years ago. Our gutter guards have a warranty. We recently had our roof replaced the end of July 2014 and this company said they had to remove the gutter guards to keep our warranty in place and they would have to put them back on. We are also having siding put on this week (sept 24th) which would also have to have the gutter guards off of the gutters for so we left them off. We have been trying to call this company for the past 2 weeks so that we could set up a time for them to put the gutter guards back on. The phone numbers that were provided have either full voice mail boxes and aren't accepting anymore messages or the phone rings continuously. We've attempted to contact this company different times of the day and different days. We do not know if this company is still around. Their website is also not online as it says it's "under construction".Desired Settlement: I would like to contact someone from this company to put our gutter guards back on or we will have to do it ourselves. Which would mean if we are able to contact them in the future then our warranty will be not in place anymore because they did not put them back on. I want them put back on when this siding project is complete and before winter comes.

Review: I filed a complaint against TRI State of Branford on February 4, 2013 for repeated harassing phone calls to the phone number ###-###-#### looking for bill payment from a man named "John Cordoc" ( a man I do not know nor I have ever known) I had repeatedly told them I was not the person they were looking for and to please stop calling, but the calls only became more frequent. After filing the report with the Revdex.com on the 4th, TRI State responded on the 11th with a letter promising to cut off all phone calls and to take my phone number off of all their collections lists. I was pleased with the response and to finally have peace from the phone calls. I closed the complaint and moved on. Fast forward about 10 months. The phone calls started again and became more and more frequent. I am now receiving numerous phone calls from TRI State. My anxiety over this is peaking and if this continues I will be contacting my lawyer. I saved the previous correspondence and the reference numbers for the original complaint are as follows: Case #: [redacted]). Please find a way to make sure your business never calls my cell phone again.Desired Settlement: TRI State of Branford stop calling [redacted] indefinitely.

Response:

We have gone back into our records and have eliminated that phone number from our records. I truly believe that this will solve the issue. I am truly sorry that Ms. O'Neill recieved more phone calls from us and believe that she will not recieve any more in the future. sincerely, Brad Pompilli

Review: Workmanship shoddy. Can see daylight in all four of the mitered corners. Called first because door not properly fitted, which was resolved not to my satisfaction. Then 2 calls regarding mitered corners and no resplnse.Desired Settlement: I have a double lifetime warranty against defects inworkmanship and material

Review: I purchased a complete roof replacement in April 2013. I was told my leaking problem was now there problem. Thirty year double warranty not too long after installation with the first rain we had leaking problems. We called them back they told us it was the concrete chimney cap. They put a aluminum cap on that. The whole chimney was covered with plywood house wrap and vinyl siding. We have a gas fireplace so this is legal for venting. I was charged 1,000 dollars for that. The whole job cost us 12,000 dollars which we financed through [redacted]or home projects. We are going to contact them and file a grievance against them. They are coming March 25th 2014 to assess the latest leak from the last storm. They are beginning to get nasty with us. We told them this is unacceptable. They preach a good sales pitch but don't back it up and the sales rep doesn't even want to know us anymore. No contact with him since the sales pitch which took two hours. Thank you, Anthony V. CorradoDesired Settlement: I am asking for a 12k refund so we can get a company here to replace their unprofessional work and customer service.

Business

Response:

We went out on Wednesday March 26 to rectify the matter. We sent three technicians who found damage due to ice damning. We repaired the damaged area and everything should be ok at this point.

Revdex.com Case#: XXXXXXXX

52 [redacted].

Moodus, CT

On April 3, 2013, Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] contracted with us, Tri State of Branford for a new roof for the house located at 52 [redacted]. Moodus, CT. At that time both the [redacted]'s applied for a finance plan to pay for their roofing job. We processed this through our finance department and acquired financing for them. Please see the attached form that both of the [redacted]'s signed. We never said that they did not have financing. Why would we?

When the job was finished both of the Orrs refused to sign our completion certificate so we could not process the finance paperwork and we could not be paid for the work performed. They never said that there was any issue with debris left in the yard.

When the Orrs were called by[redacted] she got a hold of Mrs. [redacted] who did not know what she was talking about and hung up on her. Then the Orrs were called by [redacted] our Finance Secretary and first she was told that they were getting their own financing and then would not answer any more phone calls from her. [redacted] was looking for clarity on the when and how the financing was going to be done.

We were not mean nor were we disrespectful to either of the Orrs. However, we do expect to be paid for the work we do when the job is done. This is clearly stated in the contract signed by the Orrs.

It took an extra 2 ½ weeks to be paid for a job that should have been paid when the work was done. If anyone is being dishonest here, it is the Orrs.

Sincerely,

President

Review: I had a window put in about 2 years ago with a lifetime guarantee. I have been trying to call them because I have an issue with the window. Any number I call seems to be out of commission. I feel violated because I have no recourse with the company. All I want is for them to answer their phone and fix the window I have an issue with.Desired Settlement: fix the problem or refund my purchase

Review: Not once but twice I fell for this and I am out over $800.00! The companies are Tri State of Branford and [redacted]. They call every day some times two or three times a day until you break down and agree to have the "FREE ESTIMATE". When its done they ask for a card to hold the estimate for a year, NOT explaining you have now contracted to have them do the job. I cant even find a phone number for [redacted]. I am on disability. Im very easily fooled. Now I am out all that money on a fixed income. Two companies have charged me and put holds on my credit card TO DO THE SAME JOB. They wont help me. I am embarrassed that I didn't even know until I went to use the card. There are things I do not notice, and I don't know until someone tells me or I find out like I did on this. I end up getting taken advantage of frequently. I don't know what I can do because I am on a fixed income and cant get a lawyer to tell them they were wrong to do that to me. I don't want other people to have this happen. Free estimates are a trick to get your money and it's so wrong.

Product_Or_Service: windows and sidingDesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

Both Tri State of Branford and [redacted] need to give my money back and take the holds off my credit card. And they should stop tricking people into thinking it is a free estimate and that the card is to hold it, not explaining they are actually putting you in a binding contract.
