I am rejecting this response because: We had concerns with the deck in and emailed them at that time, they did come back & reapply at that time We have our cedar decking that is now rotting away and we have been trying to resolve this situation for over a year now We have a year Certificate of Warranty against rot & decay We were told that the chemical cleaning & prepping of the deck in was the cause of it's premature rotting For that reason we expect a full refund on our cost of having the deck sealed in We have done research on the life expectancy of a cedar deck without any sealing and it is - years We had it sealed expecting a year Warranty against rot and it is rotting after years after it was sealed As for them saying that they have tried to contact us, we have an answering machine on our home & business phone numbers and there has never been any message left from them The last email was over months ago

We apologize for the inconvenience that this issue has caused.  Even though the manufacturer will not proceed with a warranty claim and has been unresponsive in getting back to you, we will be more than willing to work with you on a warranty claim here in house.  The manufacturer’s...

warranty covers the replacement of the sealant.  The warranty does not cover the washing of the deck.  Based on the square footage of your project, you would need four (4) gallons of sealant.  We can do either of the following which would be sending you four (4) gallons of sealant at $95.00 per gallon or we would be able to issue you a check for the equivalent amount of the price of four (4) gallons of sealant.  You may choose which of these options would work best for you. We do apologize for the inconvenience and trouble you have had in communicating with us.  However, our records do show that our office attempted to reach out to you multiple times via phone and email and were unsuccessful in connecting with you, the most recent being Friday May 5 at 2:45 p.m.  It is my understanding that you were able to speak with our office on Monday and am glad that we were able to connect with you that day. It is our hope that we will be able to work together in resolving this matter!

I am rejecting this response because: We had concerns with the deck in 2008 and emailed them at that time, they did come back & reapply at that time.  We have our cedar decking that is now rotting away and we have been trying to resolve this situation for over a year now.  We have a 25 year Certificate of Warranty against rot & decay.  We were told that the chemical cleaning & prepping of the deck in 2006 was the cause of it's premature rotting.  For that reason we expect a full refund on our cost of having the deck sealed in 2006.  We have done research on the life expectancy of a cedar deck without any sealing and it is 10 - 15 years.  We had it sealed expecting a 25 year Warranty against rot and it is rotting after 10 years after it was sealed.  As for them  saying that they have tried to contact us, we have an answering machine on our home & business phone numbers and there has never been any message left from them.  The last email was over 6 months ago.
