Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Mike's Truck Tire is right about one thing, and that is that the tires did not have a rebate I found that out after I contacted Cooper Tire I was saying adventure when in fact it was the Mastercraft Avenger So the rebate is off the table However, that is where the truth ended with Mike's response First the scan I attached proves I did pay $each to have the tires forced balanced I had no alternative but to go elsewhere to have the tires, weights and rims evaluated When I did, Diamond Town found that the drivers side was out with used wheel weights Passenger side was out Right rear was out and the Left rear outMy car only has 68,miles on it at the time of purchase I am meticulous about the care of my care and anything I ownI service my own vehicle so when Mike took the driver's side tire in his hands at and o'clock and shook it from side to side and said because it moved there was something wrong with the front end I knew that was wrong, he was only moving the rack and pinion When I expressed my opinion they started the car, put it in gear, went to the passenger side and said it was a bent rim I said no; and to prove my point I told them to move the rear passenger tire to the front passenger tireI then took the car for a ride and the shimmy was still thereSince that did not fix the shimmy it was not a bent rim but at this point I was done with Mike's excuses Both myself and Diamond Town Tire agree by shaking the tire all Mike was doing was moving the rack and pinion in and out Mike's was out only to make a sale but when it came to customer support with a problem they dropped the ball As Mike's tire stated I was going on a trip (not to NC), that is why I purchased new tiresMy old michelin tires were cracking but the ride of car was excellentThe shimmy started only after Mike's tire installed the new tires Again I would like to have my $I had to pay Diamond Tire to fix the problem they made refunded by Mike's Truck Tire, Inc To all tire customer's of Mike's Tire in Smyrna don't fight with them, just go to Diamond Tire to get the problem fixed Life is too short to do business with a company that doesn't care about their customers Regards,

I'm writing in response to your letter pertaining to Mr [redacted] [redacted] .This customer did purchase new tires from usHe did return to our business a few days later to say he had a "shimmy" in the front end of his vehicleOur technician noticed some loose front end partsThis is usually due to lack of maintenanceUpon letting Mr [redacted] know the situation he demanded it was a tire problem and "told us" to replace it at no cost to himWe told him it was not possible to replace it because the tire was goodHis problem was in the front end of his carHe was very rude and very adamant that "we were going to replace the tire" Iexplained (nicely) to Mr [redacted] that ifIwere to return the tire; the manufacturer would not replace it because it was a good tire and it would not solve his problemTo keep Mr [redacted] happy Itold him Icould try for the adjustment, however; our policy is to lend a tire to the customer until manufacturer returned its verdict on the tire in questionHe said he did not have time for that, he was leaving that evening for North CarolinaPer Mr [redacted] s request we rebalanced his tires and told him we would not guarantee that would solve his problem and that if he would like us to fix the front end we would be more than happy to give him a price on the workHe left that day and we've herd nothing from him until now. Please let it be known that Diamond Town Tire does not charge $to balance tiresThey have set prices for balancing and also have daily specialsAfter talking to the owner of Diamond Town Tire myself,Ihave come to the conclusion that Mr [redacted] not only lied about his tires being balanced there, he also lied about receiving a rebate offer on the tires he purchased from us because there was no rebate offered for that tire at that timeIam enclosing the rebate offers for the tires for that month, along with the purchase order for his tires. In closing I would like to say that we at Mike's Truck Tire have many, many, satisfied customers and we go out of our way to keep our customers safe and happyUnfortunately there are always going to be people like Mr [redacted] who will not listen because they are just hard headed and know WAY more than people who have been working in theindustry for years ..........I just wish there were a public forum for small businesses to put "bad customers" names out there to warn others

I'm writing in response to your letter pertaining to Mr. [redacted].This customer did purchase 4 new tires from us. He did return to our business a few days later to say he had a "shimmy" in the front end of his vehicle. Our technician noticed some loose front end parts. This is usually due...

to lack of maintenance. Upon letting Mr. [redacted] know the situation he demanded it was a tire problem and "told us" to replace it at no cost to him. We told him it was not possible to replace it because the tire was good. His problem was in the front end of his car. He was very rude and very adamant that "we were going to replace the tire" Iexplained (nicely) to Mr. [redacted] that ifIwere to return the tire; the manufacturer would not replace it because it was a good tire and it would not solve his problem. To keep Mr. [redacted] happy Itold him Icould try for the adjustment, however; our policy is to lend a tire to the customer until manufacturer returned its verdict on the tire in question. He said he did not have time for that, he was leaving that evening for North Carolina. Per Mr. [redacted]s request we rebalanced his tires and told him we would not guarantee that would solve his problem and that if he would like us to fix the front end we would be more than happy to give him a price on the work. He left that day and we've herd nothing from him until now. Please let it be known that Diamond Town Tire does not charge $25 to balance tires. They have set prices for balancing and also have daily specials. After talking to the owner of Diamond Town Tire myself,Ihave come to the conclusion that Mr. [redacted] not only lied about his tires being balanced there, he also lied about receiving a rebate offer on the tires he purchased from us because there was no rebate offered for that tire at that time. Iam enclosing the rebate offers for the tires for that month, along with the purchase order  for his tires. In closing I would like to say that we at Mike's Truck Tire have many, many, satisfied customers and we go out of our way to keep our customers safe and happy. Unfortunately there are always going to be people like Mr. [redacted] who will not listen because they are just hard headed and know WAY more than people who have been working in theindustry for 25 years ..........I just wish there were a public forum for small businesses to put "bad customers" names out there to warn others.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mike's Truck Tire is right about one thing, and that is that the tires did not have a rebate.  I found that out after I contacted Cooper Tire.  I was saying adventure when in fact it was the Mastercraft Avenger.  So the rebate is off the table.  However, that is where the truth ended with Mike's response.  First the scan I attached proves I did pay $25 each to have the tires forced balanced.  I had no alternative but to go elsewhere to have the tires, weights and rims evaluated.  When I did, Diamond Town found that the drivers side was .270 out with used wheel weights.  Passenger side was .170 out.  Right rear was .65 out and the Left rear .80 out. My car only has 68,200 miles on it at the time of purchase.  I am meticulous about the care of my care and anything I own. I service my own vehicle so when Mike took the driver's side tire in his hands at 10 and 2 o'clock and shook it from side to side and said because it moved there was something wrong with the front end.  I knew that was wrong, he was only moving the rack and pinion.  When I expressed my opinion they started the car, put it in gear, went to the passenger side and said it was a bent rim.  I said no; and to prove my point I told them to move the rear passenger tire to the front passenger tire. I then took the car for a ride and the shimmy was still there. Since that did not fix the shimmy it was not a bent rim but at this point I was done with Mike's excuses.  Both myself and Diamond Town Tire agree by shaking the tire all Mike was doing was moving the rack and pinion in and out.  Mike's was out only to make a sale but when it came to customer support with a problem they dropped the ball.  As Mike's tire stated I was going on a trip (not to NC), that is why I purchased new tires. My old michelin tires were cracking but the ride of car was excellent. The shimmy started only after Mike's tire installed the new tires.  Again I would like to have my $100 I had to pay Diamond Tire to fix the problem they made refunded by Mike's Truck Tire, Inc.  To all tire customer's of Mike's Tire in Smyrna ... don't fight with them, just go to Diamond Tire to get the problem fixed.  Life is too short to do business with a company that doesn't care about their customers.
