Dear [redacted]
sans-serif;">I received a Revdex.com complaint from a customer that work was performed from our business 3/23/16 and was assigned ID of [redacted].
Apparently our customer [redacted] has claimed that while we were installing a camper shell, we had scratched his tailgate plus other areas of his truck.
I know when Mr. [redacted] came in on 2/27/2016 to place and pay for an order on a Snugtop camper shell we walked the perimeters of the truck to measure the length of the bed and go over check in procedures when he brings the truck in for the camper shell installation and the Line-X protective coatings. He asked why we go over check in procedure and I stated to make sure there is no pre-existing damage before we take procession of it. We noted a scratch on the passenger side tailgate from and another damaged area on the passenger side above the wheel well near the top of the rail midway scuffed area. He was shocked to see this due to the truck was new and he stated he would have to take it back to the dealership for them to repair it back in [redacted]. We continued with the write of the sales order for the campers hell and rescheduled the time to do his Line-X protective coating for the same day for the camper shell installation to make it more convenient.
When Mr. [redacted] camper shell came in we called to schedule with him the installation for his camper shell and the Line-X protective coatings. We scheduled the job for 3/22/2016. While working with other customers on the phone and in the front showroom counter area Mr. [redacted] walked in through the back door. I was startled due to customers are not suppose to be in the back work area. He said he was dropping it in the back so the guys can start on it quicker. He was in a rush to get out of here so after I finished up with my incoming phone calls and a prior customer. I said to Mr. [redacted] we have to do a check in...vehicle was already masked off to note anything on the check in paper work...Didn't think anything of it until after we had finished the installation of both the Line-X protective coating and the camper shell he came in yelling how we "[redacted]" scratched his truck. I was baffled and stunned by his approach. He demanded to see a check in sheet... I was? check in sheet... You diverted the check in sheet by dropping off your truck at the back side of the business instead of checking in at the front. Unbelievable. Mr. [redacted] was swearing at an employee, the employee was swearing back. I was unaware what was going on. He then left and came back in a short bit of time and claimed a body shop said we did this? What in the world? You know we do have insurance and if we did do damages we claim that we do. We have been in business going into our 15 years now and I know accidents do happen but a customer looking for someone else to pay for their prior knowledge of damages we both saw together on 2/27/2016. I am still waiting for a return phone call from the [redacted] dealership where he purchased his truck last July 2105.
Sincerely,

Review: I had this company install campershell on my truck and they have left scratches on the tailgate and on the left side of the truck underneath the left bottom corner of the shell. I told them about it right after instalation but they would not take a responsibility for it. They claimed they do a walk around check list but would not give me the copy. After stating that they don't have it. Telling me that I left to quick but I was at the shop doing paiper work with the lady upfront for at list 15 min. They lady even told me that they have started masking everything.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to make repairs to get the truck to original condition.
