I am in receipt of your letter dated January 4, 2017 in regards to the above captioned case. At this time, I am filing my written response to the complaint as requested per your...

Enclosed please find Job Work Order XXXXXX dated May 8, 2013, Invoice #XXXXX dated May 15, 2013, a Statement from May 15, 2016 to current, e-mail from [redacted] dated January 3, 2017 and my response letter to Mr. [redacted] dated January 3, 2017.
As you will note, per the Job Work Order we were contacted my Mr. [redacted] on May 8, 2013 to assist him with a plugged kitchen drain at [redacted] in [redacted] My employee presented at the Oxford [redacted] residence on May 9, 2013 and was at the job site for 34 minutes and 47 seconds. My employee entered the crawl space and identified the kitchen drain. He took the drain apart at the Fernco, ballooned the drain for several minutes and then reconnected the drain. After testing the drain, my employee ascertained that the water was draining properly down the kitchen drain and then left the premises. Per the enclosed Invoice, Mr. [redacted] was charged [redacted] for this service. An invoice was sent to Mr. [redacted] on May 15, 2013 at the [redacted] address.
As you will further note on the enclosed Statement, finance charges started to assess on August 6, 2013. These finance charges are only assessed prior to our monthly Statements being mailed to our customers. Each finance charge represents a Statement being sent to Mr. [redacted]. During the three years this account has been pending, Mr. [redacted] has never contacted my office to discuss his bill, make any arrangements for payments or notified us of his new address. It is. only because we live in a small town that I knew Mr. [redacted] had sold the [redacted] residence and, after a diligent search, located Mr. [redacted]'s new address of [redacted] in [redacted] I have never received any correspondence from Mr. [redacted] regarding this account nor had any mailings that have

been sent to Mr. [redacted] returned by the Postal Service. It was not until Mr. [redacted] emailed me on January 3, 2017, advising that he had received a Statement two months prior, that we had heard from him in any respect. I promptly responded to Mr. [redacted]'s request for a copy of the original invoice and also included a current Statement for him. As I stated to Mr. [redacted], I have a very difficult time believing that he received none of our Statements or Invoice in the three years this account has been pending and while we have been attempting to collect our fee from Mr. [redacted] or that none of our mailings were returned to us by the Postal Service.
I believe my company has been more than willing to work with Mr. [redacted] to get this account paid in full by not filing a small claim action in the past three years and carrying his balance due. My desire now and always has been for Mr. [redacted] to pay the balance due without our having to begin collection efforts.
