Triad Curb Appeal Company

Beware of Andy Barnett and Triad Curb Appeal. I had a contract for he and his company to put in a stone patio. He required half of the money as a down payment before he began the project. The patio was a mess in six months. There were cracks all over the patio immediately. I contacted Andy and he stated that he would need to order the sand. Six months later I contacted him again. I even sent him photos and he sent me back a text and admitted it was a mess. However, I couldn't get him to return to fix the problem. The patio is not even level. Andy Barnett knows nothing about construction. Beware of Andy and his shoddy workmanship and his inability to guarantee his work.

Andy B[redacted] and his business suck that is why he is no longer in business. He is not a very good contractor at all. stay clear of this guy

Review: Owner did not honor contract. I had a 1 year contract on all bushes and sod that they installed. By month 7 eight bushes died and when I contacted owner about it he did not respond to my requests to replace them.Desired Settlement: Since the owner could not obtain these bushes I have asked him to reimburse me the cost of those bushes so that I could replant them myself. Total amount of $100.

Review: Contractor performed work consisting of installing curbing (approx. 850 linear feet), removing old curbing: build sidewalk with pavers "(I pattern" with border: And resurface 663 sq. ft. with firm coat on rear patio. I have a separation of the pavers, peeling of the resurfacing back patio, and needed to reseal back patio and all curbing. I have called and talked to Andy (OWNER of business) on several occasions to come out and observe the problems and to give estimate of additional work to be performed.Since he has not come to my job site nor seems interested in additional work I have called another contractor to perform the additional work and to repair the back patio. After numerous phone calls, Andy will not return my calls and has even blocked my tel. # from his voice mail.I would not recommend this contractor to anyone as he is not interested in performing any work after he has received his money. This work was performed in October of 2012.Desired Settlement: Include this complaint for this contractor on your public information web site.

Review: I contracted with Triad Curb Appeal for two projects to be done on my property:1 - Install a French Drain at my front porch to deal with poor drainage. This was installed and has worked as expected. 2 - Address erosion issues on the property line in the backyard. This is where I'm having my issues.When Andy Barnett (owner) came out and quoted the project, he also informed me that he would guarantee his work for 5 years. After what I deemed was good work on this project, I even allowed Triad Curb Appeal to start maintaining my yard (mowing.) After this is when I started having my issues. The yard would go long periods of time without Triad Curb Appeal mowing the yard, I would then get excuses of "equipment broke down, truck broke down, rain, etc." I eventually had to discontinue this and take the mowing back over myself.I also soon after had issues with the erosion project with wash-out. I was told by Andy that they would come back and "touch-up" the project in a few months. They never did come back. I did start having more concerning issues with the erosion and started calling Triad Curb Appeal and was told they would come back. I never saw a representative from them come out, even though Andy told me they did. Not long after, phone calls and messages quit being returned from Andy and Triad Curb Appeal. I saw Andy Barnett at the Greensboro Home Show at the Greensboro Coliseum back in March and brought this to his attention. He told me he would call me "first thing Monday." I have never heard back from him. I made numerous calls to Andy and left messages afterwards that have never been returned.At this point, I just want Triad Curb Appeal to address this issue as earlier guaranteed and promised. If they are unable or unwilling I may have to pursue other legal avenues if available to me.Desired Settlement: As far as resolution, I would like Triad Curb Appeal to stand behind their work as promised and address the erosion issue. The company has acted very unprofessional in my dealings with them, at first I would have recommended them to anyone for this type of work. I can not moving forward.

Review: we contracted with andy b[redacted] in 2013 to build a retaining wall and install a black aluminum fence on the top of the wall. Both items have a 5 yr. Warranty on them. Very soon after installation of wall, it showed signs of buckling outward. We presently have large areas of washout with the soil draining out under the wall and weakening it further. In hindsight, we found out that any wall to be built over 4 ft. Needs to be signed off by a licensed engineer. We did not know this. Our wall is 6-8 ft. High. We repeatedly have tried to get andy back to see the condition of this deteriorating wall and fence; but andy b[redacted] of triad curb appeal does not respond to our attempts to reach him. Between the wall and the fence plus the landscaping we had installed by another company, which will now all have to come out in order to repair the wall will cost us $20,000. Do not deal with this person, no matter what he promises you. He is totally unreliable and should not be in business.Desired settlement: triad curb appeal needs to refund our money, so we can hire a reputable contractor to redo the entire project.
