After Dr. S[redacted] and Mr. [redacted] confirmed the appropriate treatment, the dental assistant entered the room and began to present Mr. [redacted] with the financial cost of the proposed treatment plan, including a consultation fee. We called to obtain a summary of dental insurance coverage and were advised by Mr. [redacted]' insurance company that the plan had exhausted maximum payment of insurance benefits, therefore the consultation and any other charges incurred would have been an out of pocket expense for Mr. [redacted].
