Triangle C Ranch Reviews (3)

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
1) The policy stating that in order for a tour to run, four seats must be reserved, was never told to us. They did tell us they needed four, and did offer to take us for the price of 4.
2) We were never told of the...

limited number of trips to the canyon area. The web site leads one to believe this is a normal excursion.
3) They did eventually refund the double charge, but only after 7 emails and 4 phone calls
4) We were never told that The park rangers will only let us stop at designated turnouts if the mountains are visible. The Web Site and emails leading up to the booking never stated that this would be the case
5) The attitude in the response is the same attitude displayed during the trip - The Mattracks do throw snow on all the windows, it is what it is. They need to solve this problem or not tout a uninterrupted view out a large window.
6) Although 3 individual were "scared" the guide did say he could go and would go, but did advise of potential danger and that we could be stuck for a long time.
7) We did not want to go to Old Faithful, for we had been there before in the winter and wanted to go back and ski. We feel that we were forced to go to a place we did not want to go and were not allowed to go where we wanted to go; we were their hostages and at their mercy.
8) Is it any concern of the Triangle C Ranch if I decide to not eat my lunch. I don't control my wife's decisions, she decided to stay with me while we call the Ranch Management. Again, no one told me to take off my seat belt and if I did not feel the need to do so, is it any concern of the Ranch?
9) I did say that I would take the Ranch to Small Claims court and Post my experience, but only after I was told at first that they would not provide a refund. Only after I said this I was offered the difference in the price of the Old Faithful trip vs. the Canyon Trip.
10) I did post a review on their Facebook Site, but after a short time it was removed as span. They seem to not want to allow an honest review to be posted. In addition to being forced to go somewhere we did not want to go, we could not see out of the vehicle, we stopped a few times to roll down a window, but what about all the other scenery. They also never provided the binoculars, spotting scope or large window as promised
10) I did sign a piece of paper, but that transaction was nothing more than, "Here, sign this release." Nothing was explained, but I also did not read the "fine print."
10) I still feel as if the Triangle C Ranch very much misrepresented the product offered and this will forever be in my mind about the extremely poor customer service we received.

Review: It all started when we first scheduled our tour. 8 weeks until we wanted to go and they were telling me that we would have to choose a different date than requested because no others had booked yet. After agreeing to this date change, our CC was charged twice within 3 days. It took 4 weeks, several phone calls and six emails to get the second charged removed from our CC. We finally make it to the day before the tour and do not know where to meet or if they will pick us up; no pick up or meeting place was confirmed until 9 hours before time to leave. We are picked up and proceed to eat breakfast and pick out what we would like to have to eat for lunch. This is a very nice place, very good food. Around 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant while driving the vehicle we slide all over the icy road. The driver was just not paying attention; he kept gunning the engine which is what caused the vehicle to slip and slide. We drive though the Grand Teton National Park without stopping once. He pointed out a few things, but never stopped. As we pull into the Flag Stop where we switch to the Snowcoach he drives into a snow bank because he took a curve too fast. Now in Yellowstone Park and we finally stop for about a minute to look out the windows. We had to roll them down because they were all covered with ice and snow on the outside and fogged over on the inside. The brochure did say it was a large window, but failed to tell us we would not be able to see out of it. We drive for a while and finally stop for a bathroom break. After getting back inside the vehicle we are told that we will not be able to go to our original destination due to changing weather conditions, the canyon, and either had the choice of going to Old Faithful or returning home. He had been in contact with someone about the weather conditions all morning, but failed to tell us what might happen until now. I wanted to return home because having been to Old Faithful two years earlier. There is much more to this story.Desired Settlement: I asked about a refund and he said he would refund the difference between the canyon tour and old faithful, but now over two weeks have gone by and still no refund. I asked for more, 25% because I felt they were in breach of contract by, 1) Not taking me to where I paid to go, 2) Taking me to somewhere I did not want to go and 3) Not taking me home like I requested; still the same attitude, he did not care. He said as the Manager he could not do that and would need to talk to the owner.
