We hired Chris' Custom Carpentry to do extensive updating to a home we purchased in May, A few weeks into the job we decided to trade out the old sliding glass doors for a new set of French doorsWe agreed to the price of $We ending up agreeing to $when told the installation by his crew was a little more involved than first thoughtThe job was done in MayAfter the bad storm in August we noticed that one of the (4) doors was leakingWe contacted Chris B***, the owner, on September 4, and was told the same day he would send someone by September No one showed upI contacted Chris on Sept10th and was told someone would be there Sept14th between and pmNo one showed upChris B [redacted] said it was a product defect and he would contact the manufacturer's rep to come take a look at itThey never came either until I emailed Chris again and again requesting a resolveChris constantly told us the manufacturer's rep was putting us off but when they finally showed up to look at the door sometime in October, I questioned the rep as to why the delay in responding and was told that Chris only let him know of the problem the first of that weekThe rep told us and Chris that it was an installation issue, not a fault with his productHe left our house at that timeChris promised to repair the door to its new condition "within the week"He was to wait on new weather stripping before the job could be completedOn Tuesday, December 6th he emailed to let me know that he had our weather stripping and someone would be there the following Friday or Monday to install the stripping and caulk the door, plus repaint the door where the water had discolored itNo one showed upOn December 12th he told us someone would be by Wed or Thursday, No one showed upI have all the emails confirming all I have written hereChris is very unreliable and rude when confronted with a problemWe paid him on time, every timeHe has not responded to us since Monday, December 12, 2016, even after more emails from us and a phone messageWe are just seeking to have this repair done asapThe door looks dirty and unsightly where the weather stripping is different colors and the caulking is missingWe are not seeking restitution, just a repair

We hired Chris' Custom Carpentry to do extensive updating to a home we purchased in May, 2016. A few weeks into the job we decided to trade out the old sliding glass doors for a new set of French doors. We agreed to the price of $3000. We ending up agreeing to $3400 when told the installation by his crew was a little more involved than first thought. The job was done in May. After the bad storm in August we noticed that one of the (4) doors was leaking. We contacted Chris B[redacted], the owner, on September 4, 2016 and was told the same day he would send someone by September 9. No one showed up. I contacted Chris on Sept. 10th and was told someone would be there Sept. 14th between 2 and 3 pm. No one showed up. Chris B[redacted] said it was a product defect and he would contact the manufacturer's rep to come take a look at it. They never came either until I emailed Chris again and again requesting a resolve. Chris constantly told us the manufacturer's rep was putting us off but when they finally showed up to look at the door sometime in October, I questioned the rep as to why the delay in responding and was told that Chris only let him know of the problem the first of that week.
