The product cost more than they said; they were deceitful about their coupon & damaged goods. Called my work & home phone #'s - we gave them neither.5/28/14 [redacted] came to repair/inspect garage door.We decided to purchase a new one.He said they might have one or it would have to be ordered since it was an 18X8 which is bigger than the standard door but it would be 'no more than $1100 maybe $1300 no no $1100'.After checking he said it was $1400 plus the repair cost & taxes ($1716).I paid $400 for repair & a deposit.He asked if I wanted to make a copy of the invoice as he had to have the original to place the order.He would let me know if they had one or if it had to be ordered & when I could expect it to be installed.It would take 2 weeks if ordered.No one called me back so I called on 6/11.I was told "yeah, yeah we were just talking about this order.It's coming in today.We'll call you by 3:30 tomorrow to schedule the installation either Fri or Sat." I said Sat was best for us & he said he would note that on the invoice.He called my work phone at 2:38pm on 6/12 to schedule the install on Friday.(We only gave them my cell #.)I said Sat worked best for us & he said he would be there at 12:00 Sat & would call when he was 30mins away.[redacted] (the owner) left a message at my home # 3:07pm Fri 6/13(we didn't give them that # either)that the door was slightly dented & they could give us a $50 discount but they didn't like to do that & a new door would be there Monday.They could send a picture of the dent if we wanted them to.My husband agreed to the Monday install.(If it had to be special ordered the 1st time due to the size how was another one exactly like it(Stratford 3000 w/Sun Ray glass)on the truck Mon).Called at 8:30PM Mon 6/16 on my cell phone(the only # we gave them)to say they were on their way.I gave the phone to my husband, they agreed it was too late to install but he was bringing the door to leave in our garage 'so he wouldn't have to haul it around all week'.The earliest they could install it was Thur 6/19.Called my cell 12:21pm Thur to confirm they would be there at 3:45 pm.I told him we had a coupon for $200 off a New Garage Door Double Door with Lifetime Warranty Residential Only off their website.It has no other stipulations-no expiration date, nothing.He asked me where I got it from & I said your website. He said it was up to mgmt but could I send a picture of it to him so he could check because they were changing the website.I said it's on YOUR website.I then called the # on the website as the main # & talked to [redacted] the owner.Again, we had a $200 off coupon I wanted to make them aware we wanted to use it.He asked me what I ordered I said a double garage door but the coupon did not specify a brand.He yelled to me he was trying to find out what I ordered to which I said YOU placed the order but it was a Stratford 3000.Then he asked if I got the lifetime warranty.I said again I don't know YOU placed the order.He said he was on a job he would let me know when they got to my house.I then went back on the website & they offer a lifetime warranty on ALL of the new doors.He met my husband for the install & said they gave us the $200 discount before they quoted the price & showed him an invoice for an 18X8 garage door with $182 off the price of a door-nothing to identify it as our door.If that were true why didn't he tell me that when I mentioned the coupon to [redacted] & to [redacted]?When they put the door in a panel had a dent in it!They didn't hesitate to put it up & say they would replace that panel the next day.The Fri before they cancelled the install because it had a dent & offered a $50 discount or a new door.No mention of replacing the panel.He called my cell Fri @ 3:51pm (appt was at 3:45pm) & said 'hey (my first name) let me speak to (my husband).'I said I was at work & he said "how about just call him & tell him I'm on the way.I don't know what # to call to get him." Like we were old friends!He replaced the panel, my husband paid with a personal check & got inv #XXXXXX.No part(s) #'s are on it.My husband asked [redacted] to take $18 off to make the'discount'$200.Desired SettlementThe $182 for the $200 off coupon I got off of THEIR website. [redacted] did take $18 off of the invoice (and didn't have to ask management)at my husband's request.
