RE: Revdex.comComplaint ID: *** ***Ms***, I'm disputing Mr ***'s complaints as shown below.1. Complaint of Driveway Damage- Our employee's cleaned said spray paint with a pressure washer. Customer complained of discoloration after the pressure
washing of the area. The customer complained that sealant was removed in the area and he wanted it resealed. We agreed that we would reseal the area in which he thought was damaged by the pressure washer. The customer was not satisified with this and in turn asked for a refund to seal his ENTIRE driveway. We will not render this refund as the damage was only done to a small portion and not his entire driveway. 2. Complaint of unit sizing issues- When the customer was quoted for the job. At that time, he did not want to heat and cool the basement. We sized the unit appropriatley for heating and cooling his first floor. It was not until installation began that Mr*** requested ductwork to be done to heat and cool his basement. He was told by our company his unit may not effectively keep up as his unit was sized for just the first floor, but it may alleviate some of the coldness in the winter and heat in the summerThis job was NEVER quoted for a unit to be used for both first and basement floors. We thank Mr *** for his business and wish him the best. Unfortunetly as stated above a refund will NOT be issued.Thank You,Justin W***Owner

To Whom It May Concern:It has been brought to my attention, Justin W*** (owner of Triangle Heating and Cooling, LLC), that a formal complaint has been made and submitted to youThis is my formal rebuttal of said complaint with an easily interpreted summary documented belowI hope that this
letter serves justice to what my company representsWe are a small local company who prides ourselves with integrity, honesty, and loyalty to our customers to the highest degreeWe are a family owned company and try to treat each and every one of our customers with the best customer serviceIt is my trust in you, that you will read my rebuttal, and remember that we’ve done everything in our possible power to appease Mr, ***Below you will find direct quotations from Mr***’s complaint letter followed by a detailed explanation of what had been doneWith that being said, the documentation should be easily understood in the contents to follow.Rebuttal of Complaint Summary“I told him that I wanted a copy of the calculations as it was very important that I was able to verify that everything was installed correctly.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateMr*** did NOT request this documentation at that timeMr*** only requested this documentation on January 12, 2017, at 9:06pmThis will be highlighted and attached as he made this initial request in an email.“I also told him that I wanted to make sure that the installer was qualified and he told me that he had a degree in HVAC.”Above is another direct quotation from the complaint summaryAgain this statement is and inaccurateAs claimed by Bill F*, he did not state this, he stated, “Our technicians are certified in the HVAC industry.” If further proof of this matter needs to be provided, you may contact Bill at your own discretion."...that they pride themselves in engineering the heating system to the unique needs of each home.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateAs claimed by Bill F*, he stated, “We pride ourselves in designing heating systems for each home.” Again if further proof of this matter needs to be provided, you may contact Bill at your own discretion.“I also told Bill that I wanted a separate zone in the basementHe talked me out of this because he said heat rose and that 85% to 90% of customers who put a second zone in don’t like it.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateAs claimed by Bill F*, this statement was never made by the customerIf the statement had been made Bill would have by NO MEANS talked a customer out of UPGRADING his systemThis would have only benefited Triangle Heating and Cooling, as well as the customer.“I was under the assumption that the basement would be close to the same temperature as the first floor (we have a ranch home).”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is inaccurateMr*** was not under the assumption that the basement would be close to the same temperature as the first floorWe have an email from Mr*** that states, “Right now that side of the basement stays about degreesThe other Side is degreesI think the second vent would get us up to around the 68-degree mark.” This shows that Mr*** would be satisfied with the basement temperature at degrees FahrenheitOn January 19,2017, when I walked through both floors of the house, the temperatures in the first floor fluctuated between degrees Fahrenheit to degrees FahrenheitMeaning, there was not one room that was more than degrees Fahrenheit different from any other room on the first floorAlso, with the first floor being at about degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature in the basement fluctuated from degrees Fahrenheit to degrees FahrenheitAfter taking these temperature readings, I verbally stated this information to Mr***He acknowledged and was satisfied with two of my technicians to witness.“I never received a copy of the proposal that I signed with Bill’s signature or a Triangle Agent’s signature on it.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateTriangle Heating and Cooling DID supply this customer with a copy of the proposal as well as ALL other contracting documentsEnclosed is a copy of the contracting agreement that was provided to the ownerUpon request, a copy of this documentation can be released to the owner at no expense once again.“I was told by bill that the system would be installed in to days and installation would start on December 26th,"Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateAs claimed by Bill F*, this statement is falseBill states that he always gives a rough estimate of wheninstallation will take place, but NEVER gives out exact time frames due to the fact of unpredictability with installationIf further proof of this matter needs to be provided, you may contact Bill at your own discretion."I was contacted on December 28th that Triangle Heating and Cooling LLC had an emergency call and that they wouldn’t be able to work on the system that dayI told them that was fine and Bill promised me that we would have heat by Friday and that the system would be in operationFriday, December 30th came and went and we didn’t’ have heat and the system was only partially installedI was then told that Monday, January 2nd we would have heatJanuary 2nd came and went and we still didn’t have heatIt wasn’t until January 6th that the system was fully installed and operational.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateAt no point was it ever promised that the customer would have heat from the newly installed system on any dateThe customer fully understood that his existing heat source was still intact and fully operationalThe customer had never LOST heat during this installation, there was ALWAYS a heat source available to him.“Bill stopped by on the 6th immediately after the installer left and had me sign a document saying the work had been completed,”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThe customer signed this document at his own free willIf he had requested additional time it would have been granted to verify that the system was working correctly and to his liking.“The only thing that I received was an invoice (I didn’t sign), proof of the SEER rating, unit serial numbers, and warranty information.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryAs previously stated ALL contracting documents were given to the customer prior to the installationThese documents were also provided upon completion of the installation to the customer, including a PAID IN FULL invoice.“I sent an email stating that our living room remained coldHe completely blew me off.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateThe email Mr*** is referring to in the above quotation was sent from Mr*** on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 6:40pmBill F* replied on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 8:42am stating “We can put you on the schedule for maybe sometime this week but probably nextThe owners email is ***I’m very happy that you are satisfied and sharing that into with others!”“The owner told me that the system was incorrectly installed and apologized profuselyEvery item that I noted that was wrong with the system was actually a problem and all had to be fixedThey agreed to fix the problems on January 19th and January 20th 2017,”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateI, owner, Justin W***, never agreed that the system was installed incorrectlyI only agreed to fix the items the homeowner thought was unsatisfactory to appease himI DO NOT believe the system was installed incorrectly, it is in my professional judgement that the system was in perfect working condition upon my arrivalDue to having pride in our customer satisfaction, we attempted to correct any unsatisfactory problems the customer thought he may have had.“The items to be fixed included taking the hard bends out of the flex line runs, providing me with load calculations as promised, proving that the proper CFMs were coming out of each register in accordance with their engineer models, a cold air return for the living room, a cold air return for the living room in the basement, the addition of a cold air trung, the removal of the daisy chained flex runs that hung about three feed off the ground, properly strapping the flex lines that were handing down and not properly supported, tabing connections properly, and balancing the system so there wasn’t a five degree temperature variance between the front half of the house and the bedrooms."Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateOn January 19, all hard bends that could be practically fixed were fixedThe bends that could not be fixed, we placed an adjustable sheet metal elbow and insulated around them to appease the customerSome were not practical because we could not extend rectangular duct work beyond the tracts of the garage doorA cold air return for the living room was addedUpon request, photo documentation can be providedA cold air return for the living room was also added in the basementThe same photo documentation can be used to provide proof of this as wellThe addition of a cold air trunk can be seen from this photo documentationThere was no flex runs that were ever left hanging feet from the ground at any pointAny flex duct lines the customer felt needed supported were completed January .19,2017, to the customers’ satisfaction, as I the owner inspected it myselfThe 5-degree temperature variance was incorrect as I proved with my temperature sensing device, by measuring the temperature in various locations of every room on January 19, 2017, at approximately 4:00pm.“ I was promised that the heat pump would kick of at degrees to maximize efficiency.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateThe customer did ask if it was for the heat pump to run below degreesI the owner confirmed that it was to run below degrees, but at no point did the customer state that he did not want it to run below degreesAs per ***’s Installation Guide, operating temperatures in heating mode range from -degrees Fahrenheit to degrees FahrenheitTherefore, discrediting Mr***’s opinion that the heat pump should not operate below degrees Fahrenheit.“Bill told me that this information is proprietary information and that I was not allowed to see the data.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateBill only asked why he needed this information due to the fact that Mr*** stated on January 19, at 4:30pmthat everything was satisfactory and up to his standard repeatedly witnessed by, Derrick Y***, Zack P*** and myself.“I told him that he was “full of ***” because prior to talking to him, I had cheeked with two other HVAC companies to see if this information was protected.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryAt this point Mr*** verbally assaulted my employee, Bill F*, and began making various threats against him and the companyBill proceeded to halt the conversation and report this to his immediate supervisor, myself, Justin W***,“They made me pay the bill in full prior to installing dampers in the system as outlined in the proposal I signed”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateThe bill was paid in full by Mr***’s own free will as previously statedDuring the installation Mr*** expressed that he was going to drywall around the ductworkAt this point, my technician recommended we NOT install dampers in the flex duct runsIn case any were to ever malfunction in the future, drywall would have to be cut around the dampers to fix themMr*** verbally agreed to this and decided that he no longer wanted dampers installed.“When I looked online it states that they have been in business for years, in reality they have only been in business for years.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurate, Our website clearly states, “Triangle Heating and Cooling is a sister company of Triangle Building supplies and ServicesWe are a locally-owned, family-operated business that has been serving the Centre County area forover years”This implies that the branding of Triangle has been in business for years as a whole, not any one certain entity.“ I was told that the salesman had a degree in HVAC sales.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateThis statement was never madeUpon further inspection of this statement, there is no state university holding such a degree program to my knowledge.“'He was an appliance and furniture salesman prior to joining Triangle”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryI fail to see the importance of this statement, besides the fact that this is completely and inaccurateProof may be obtained from employment records for Bill F*.“It states online that Triangle Heating and Cooling is a Revdex.com member with an A+ ratingWhen I looked at the Revdex.com website I wasn’t able to find themI searched every possible combination for their business and nothing came up.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryA google adwords ad was running that stated we were a Revdex.com member with an A+ member without my knowledgeThe company employed to do Triangle Heating and Coolings LLC’s advertising is ***At the time I was made aware, I contacted *** and had them take the ad down.“I even went as far as to search for HVAC companies and they didn’t come up.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryBeing a member of the Revdex.com is not a requirement of any companyWe have not yet decided if this type of investment would be worthwhile to our company, thus we are not a member.“this is speculation but I think the bulk of the Facebook and Google reviews are from friends and family claiming to have had a system installedI can’t prove this but based on my research, I have concluded that this is likely the case ”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateWe can prove this by supplying past sales receipts of these customers based upon their reviewsIt is also impossible to guarantee that any review was made or not made by anyone.“They stole two breakers that I purchased from *** for my electrical panel which I told them were off limits and used them to install their equipment.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateThe circuit breakers used in the installation were purchased from Triangle Building Supplies and Services in Bellefonte on December 30, 2016, with a receipt showing the PO being labeled for the job ***Receipt invoice number is ***.“They also damaged my table saw which was in close proximity to the furnace during the install.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summaryThis statement is and inaccurateThe damage to the table saw was picture sent to Triangle Healing and Cooling LLC of purple PVC primer on the table sawDuring the installation process that required the use of said PVC primer, the table saw was covered with plastic to protect itTherefore, there is no way that PVC primer could have permeated the plastic to damage the table saw.Settling of complaint“The 6??? Flex line to the left of the furnace wasn???t Connected to anythingUpon further investigation, the damper that was in the vent was stuck in the closed positionThis has to be fixed and needs to be working properlyYou must sign off that this has been fixed and that it is working properly.”This item was connected and working properly after inspection of the unit on January 19, 2017,"In accordance with the proposal, you have to install dampers on all flex runs immediatelyThis is a breach of contract and you illegally had me sign a form saying the work was complete when it was notThis is a violation of the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act.”The item was signed at the discretion of Mr***, and previous documentation can be noted above"I never received a signed copy of the proposal with Triangle???s agent???s signature on the documentIn section Home Improvement Contracts, it states that no contract shall be valid or enforceable against an owner unless it is signed by the company performing the work and a copy provided to the home ownerThis means that our agreement is void.”The homeowner already received these documents which were signed by both parties, but will be provided to him at no cost, if he requests them"The ducting in the family room portion of the basement is incorrectThe sizing is way to large and the step downs are unnecessaryThis is creating too much velocity to be lost to the living room, dining room, and kitchenIt is sad that I have to tell you this, but the HVAC vendors recommended that an 8???xl2??? duct be used and connected to the 8???x8??? step downThe fireplace will need to be fixed since you cut an unnecessarily large hole in itThis will be at Triangle Heating and Cooling LLCs expense,”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, “The vent installed on the furnace water collection system should be installed after the trap so that the system can ???burp.??? The current configuration causes an air lockThe cap on top of the vent also needs a hole drilled in it to prevent an air lock"Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, “The deadhead at the top of the furnace is incorrectThe deadhead is causing the air to pound the top of the deadhead thus reducing velocityThe air needs to be guided in the direction it is supposed to goThis means that degree angles need to be installed on the supply duct or a radius using a duct squareThis poor design is impacting the overall velocity of the system.”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, “There is a flex line in the garage that is duct tapedI don’t know what happened to the flex line but this is unacceptable and the whole line will be replacedI will not accept a jerry rigged systemI can???t believe that as thorough as I am you actually thought I wouldn???t see this!”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19,“Two registers need to be added to the living room/dinning roomOne register needs to go on the back wall (the location I have been telling you needed a register for the last freaking month!), the flex lines for these registers need to be connected to the 8??? X 12??? ductThey cannot be connected to the 8??? X 8??? Section bccause there aren???t enough CFMs left in the system to supply the lines.”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on Januaiy 19, “I want a copy of the startup report for my records.”The startup report is not required in residential recordsThis will not be supplied“The thermostat in the living room is off by at least degreesThis needs to be fixed immediately.”The previous complaint was the thermostat was off by degreesThere are inaccuracics with his claimI had already disproven the thermostat inaccuracy to Mr*** on January 19, 2017, when I took temperature readings throughout the living roomAll temperature readings were consistent with the thermostat readings“The system needs to be balancedWaving a thermometer around in the air does not balance the systemYou must use a BalometerI have included a picture of the device because at this point I???m not sure you know what it isI also want documented proof of the readings at each register.”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, “I want a new amp breaker and a amp breaker to replace the two that were stolen from me.”As proven by receipts that will be provided upon request, these breakers were never stolen“I want written proof by the owner of Triangle Heating and Cooling that the system has been properly balanced using a Balometer, the thermostat has been properly set up, the heat pump has been properly sized and fixed so that it will adequately heat/cool my home and will not turn on when the temperature drops below degrees.'’Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, “Because Triangle Heating and Cooling has stolen from me and made my family feel uncomfortable in addition to failing to adequately install my system on two separate occasions, all work will be closely monitored and documentedI work during the week and will not allow Triangle Heating and Cooling into my home when I am not present because of items being stolen and because they make my family uncomfortableTherefore, all work will be completed on the weekend around my family's schedule.” No work will be rendered to Mr***We have done everything in our power to satisfy him including additional visits post installationHe may now seek other expertise by other companies at his OWN expense“I want my table saw fixed!”There was no damage made to his table saw by Triangle Heating and Cooling LLC“I want a 15% discount, at the recommendation of ***, for all of the time I have had to invest in phone calls, research, and visits by HVAC contractors.”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.NO ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS WILL BE PROVIDED“I would rather have another company come in and fix the system at Triangle Heating and Cooling, LLC's expense because of the theft that occurredI no longer trust your company and your workers.”No work will be rendered to Mr***We have done everything in our power to satisfy him including additional visits post installationHe may now seek other expertise by other companies at his OWN expense“I want the right sized heat pump for my home with verifiable proof signed off by a Mechanical engineer that the unit is correctly sized.”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017,“I want the pinched flex line downstairs in the basement bathroom fixedYou can feel that the actual line inside the insulation is pinched ”Mr*** already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19,

Upon asking for a refund Bill replied to me "We attempted to satisfy what 'you' thought was substandard." and "There is no reason for a refund." The refund was to help with the cost of coating the driveway, not to coat the entire drivewayThe refund was also to purchase some of the remaining pieces which were supposed to have been included in the purchase price to begin withWe were told decorative stone would be placed around the unit, and this was also not providedWe feel that a refund of $is a fair compromise given what is needed to finish the job properly

All of the information they provided is false, except for the fact that they did deceptively advertise as being Revdex.com A+ Rated? I had a third HVAC company come into my home and check over the entire system? They noted that the gas line coming into my gas furnace was too small and was installed in violation of code? They noted that there were wires in the actual furnace that had the insulation burnt off of them from brazing the copper lines? Bare low voltage wires were exposed to the open air inside the furnace housing next to my natural gas line? They told me that if UGI came into my home and saw this that they would shut my gas off because this presents an immediate life safety hazardThey told me that duct layout, size, and components were completely wrong for the system that I have? They found flexible duct lines that are duct taped together which is a violation of code? They also found broken pieces of duct board that were installed and are spongy to the touch? They noted that the thermostat is in the wrong location in my home? They noted that it is a code violation to pull supply air out of my garage and noted that this poses an immediate threat to the health and safety of my family? They noted that the heat pump should never run below degrees? Running the heat pump at extremely low temperatures all night long will burn the compressor up? They are going to inspect the heat pump for damage when they redo the ducting in my home? washing of the area.  The customer complained that sealant was removed in the area and he wanted it resealed.  We agreed that we would reseal the area in which he thought was damaged by the pressure washer.  The customer was not satisified with this and in turn asked for a 1000.00 refund to seal his ENTIRE driveway. It was not until installation began that Mr. [redacted] requested ductwork to be done to heat and cool his basement.  He was told by our company his unit may not effectively keep up as his unit was sized for just the first floor, but it may alleviate some of the coldness in the winter and heat in the summer. This job was NEVER quoted for a unit to be used for both first and basement floors.  We thank Mr [redacted] for his business and wish him the best.  Unfortunetly as stated above a refund will NOT be issued.Thank You,Justin W[redacted]Owner

To Whom It May Concern:It has been brought to my attention, Justin W[redacted] (owner of Triangle Heating and Cooling, LLC), that a formal complaint has been made and submitted to you. This is my formal rebuttal of said complaint with an easily interpreted summary documented below. I hope that this...

letter serves justice to what my company represents. We are a small local company who prides ourselves with integrity, honesty, and loyalty to our customers to the highest degree. We are a family owned company and try to treat each and every one of our customers with the best customer service. It is my trust in you, that you will read my rebuttal, and remember that we’ve done everything in our possible power to appease Mr, [redacted]. Below you will find direct quotations from Mr. [redacted]’s complaint letter followed by a detailed explanation of what had been done. With that being said, the documentation should be easily understood in the contents to follow.Rebuttal of Complaint Summary“I told him that I wanted a copy of the calculations as it was very important that I was able to verify that everything was installed correctly.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. Mr. [redacted] did NOT request this documentation at that time. Mr. [redacted] only requested this documentation on January 12, 2017, at 9:06pm. This will be highlighted and attached as he made this initial request in an email.“I also told him that I wanted to make sure that the installer was qualified and he told me that he had a degree in HVAC.”Above is another direct quotation from the complaint summary. Again this statement is false and inaccurate. As claimed by Bill F[redacted], he did not state this, he stated, “Our technicians are certified in the HVAC industry.” If further proof of this matter needs to be provided, you may contact Bill at your own discretion."...that they pride themselves in engineering the heating system to the unique needs of each home.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. As claimed by Bill F[redacted], he stated, “We pride ourselves in designing heating systems for each home.” Again if further proof of this matter needs to be provided, you may contact Bill at your own discretion.“I also told Bill that I wanted a separate zone in the basement. He talked me out of this because he said heat rose and that 85% to 90% of customers who put a second zone in don’t like it.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. As claimed by Bill F[redacted], this statement was never made by the customer. If the statement had been made Bill would have by NO MEANS talked a customer out of UPGRADING his system. This would have only benefited Triangle Heating and Cooling, as well as the customer.“I was under the assumption that the basement would be close to the same temperature as the first floor (we have a ranch home).”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is inaccurate. Mr. [redacted] was not under the assumption that the basement would be close to the same temperature as the first floor. We have an email from Mr. [redacted] that states, “Right now that side of the basement stays about 55 degrees. The other Side is 68 degrees. I think the second vent would get us up to around the 68-degree mark.” This shows that Mr. [redacted] would be satisfied with the basement temperature at 68 degrees Fahrenheit. On January 19,2017, when I walked through both floors of the house, the temperatures in the first floor fluctuated between 72.2 degrees Fahrenheit to 73.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Meaning, there was not one room that was more than 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit different from any other room on the first floor. Also, with the first floor being at about 73 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature in the basement fluctuated from 68.4 degrees Fahrenheit to 69.1 degrees Fahrenheit. After taking these temperature readings, I verbally stated this information to Mr. [redacted]. He acknowledged and was satisfied with two of my technicians to witness.“I never received a copy of the proposal that I signed with Bill’s signature or a Triangle Agent’s signature on it.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. Triangle Heating and Cooling DID supply this customer with a copy of the proposal as well as ALL other contracting documents. Enclosed is a copy of the contracting agreement that was provided to the owner. Upon request, a copy of this documentation can be released to the owner at no expense once again.“I was told by bill that the system would be installed in 4 to 5 days and installation would start on December 26th,"Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. As claimed by Bill F[redacted], this statement is false. Bill states that he always gives a rough estimate of wheninstallation will take place, but NEVER gives out exact time frames due to the fact of unpredictability with installation. If further proof of this matter needs to be provided, you may contact Bill at your own discretion."I was contacted on December 28th that Triangle Heating and Cooling LLC had an emergency call and that they wouldn’t be able to work on the system that day. I told them that was fine and Bill promised me that we would have heat by Friday and that the system would be in operation. Friday, December 30th came and went and we didn’t’ have heat and the system was only partially installed. I was then told that Monday, January 2nd we would have heat. January 2nd came and went and we still didn’t have heat. It wasn’t until January 6th that the system was fully installed and operational.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. At no point was it ever promised that the customer would have heat from the newly installed system on any date. The customer fully understood that his existing heat source was still intact and fully operational. The customer had never LOST heat during this installation, there was ALWAYS a heat source available to him.“Bill stopped by on the 6th immediately after the installer left and had me sign a document saying the work had been completed,”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. The customer signed this document at his own free will. If he had requested additional time it would have been granted to verify that the system was working correctly and to his liking.“The only thing that I received was an invoice (I didn’t sign), proof of the SEER rating, unit serial numbers, and warranty information.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. As previously stated ALL contracting documents were given to the customer prior to the installation. These documents were also provided upon completion of the installation to the customer, including a PAID IN FULL invoice.“I sent an email stating that our living room remained cold. He completely blew me off.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. The email Mr. [redacted] is referring to in the above quotation was sent from Mr. [redacted] on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 6:40pm. Bill F[redacted] replied on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 8:42am stating “We can put you on the schedule for maybe sometime this week but probably next. The owners email is [redacted]. I’m very happy that you are satisfied and sharing that into with others!”“The owner told me that the system was incorrectly installed and apologized profusely. Every item that I noted that was wrong with the system was actually a problem and all had to be fixed. They agreed to fix the problems on January 19th 2017 and January 20th 2017,”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. I, owner, Justin W[redacted], never agreed that the system was installed incorrectly. I only agreed to fix the items the homeowner thought was unsatisfactory to appease him. I DO NOT believe the system was installed incorrectly, it is in my professional judgement that the system was in perfect working condition upon my arrival. Due to having pride in our customer satisfaction, we attempted to correct any unsatisfactory problems the customer thought he may have had.“The items to be fixed included taking the hard bends out of the flex line runs, providing me with load calculations as promised, proving that the proper CFMs were coming out of each register in accordance with their engineer models, a cold air return for the living room, a cold air return for the living room in the basement, the addition of a cold air trung, the removal of the daisy chained flex runs that hung about three feed off the ground, properly strapping the flex lines that were handing down and not properly supported, tabing connections properly, and balancing the system so there wasn’t a five degree temperature variance between the front half of the house and the bedrooms."Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. On January 19, all hard bends that could be practically fixed were fixed. The bends that could not be fixed, we placed an adjustable sheet metal elbow and insulated around them to appease the customer. Some were not practical because we could not extend rectangular duct work beyond the tracts of the garage door. A cold air return for the living room was added. Upon request, photo documentation can be provided. A cold air return for the living room was also added in the basement. The same photo documentation can be used to provide proof of this as well. The addition of a cold air trunk can be seen from this photo documentation. There was no flex runs that were ever left hanging 3 feet from the ground at any point. Any flex duct lines the customer felt needed supported were completed January .19,2017, to the customers’ satisfaction, as I the owner inspected it myself. The 5-degree temperature variance was incorrect as I proved with my temperature sensing device, by measuring the temperature in various locations of every room on January 19, 2017, at approximately 4:00pm.“ I was promised that the heat pump would kick of at 30 degrees to maximize efficiency.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. The customer did ask if it was normal for the heat pump to run below 30 degrees. I the owner confirmed that it was normal to run below 30 degrees, but at no point did the customer state that he did not want it to run below 30 degrees. As per [redacted]’s Installation Guide, operating temperatures in heating mode range from -10 degrees Fahrenheit to 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Therefore, discrediting Mr. [redacted]’s opinion that the heat pump should not operate below 30 degrees Fahrenheit.“Bill told me that this information is proprietary information and that I was not allowed to see the data.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. Bill only asked why he needed this information due to the fact that Mr. [redacted] stated on January 19, at 4:30pm. that everything was satisfactory and up to his standard repeatedly witnessed by, Derrick Y[redacted], Zack P[redacted] and myself.“I told him that he was “full of [redacted]” because prior to talking to him, I had cheeked with two other HVAC companies to see if this information was protected.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. At this point Mr. [redacted] verbally assaulted my employee, Bill F[redacted], and began making various threats against him and the company. Bill proceeded to halt the conversation and report this to his immediate supervisor, myself, Justin W[redacted],“They made me pay the bill in full prior to installing dampers in the system as outlined in the proposal I signed”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. The bill was paid in full by Mr. [redacted]’s own free will as previously stated. During the installation Mr. [redacted] expressed that he was going to drywall around the ductwork. At this point, my technician recommended we NOT install dampers in the flex duct runs. In case any were to ever malfunction in the future, drywall would have to be cut around the dampers to fix them. Mr. [redacted] verbally agreed to this and decided that he no longer wanted dampers installed.“When I looked online it states that they have been in business for 30 years, in reality they have only been in business for 3 years.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate, Our website clearly states, “Triangle Heating and Cooling is a sister company of Triangle Building supplies and Services. We are a locally-owned, family-operated business that has been serving the Centre County area forover 30 years”. This implies that the branding of Triangle has been in business for 30 years as a whole, not any one certain entity.“ I was told that the salesman had a degree in HVAC sales.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. This statement was never made. Upon further inspection of this statement, there is no state university holding such a degree program to my knowledge.“'He was an appliance and furniture salesman prior to joining Triangle”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. I fail to see the importance of this statement, besides the fact that this is completely false and inaccurate. Proof may be obtained from employment records for Bill F[redacted].“It states online that Triangle Heating and Cooling is a Revdex.com member with an A+ rating. When I looked at the Revdex.com website I wasn’t able to find them. I searched every possible combination for their business and nothing came up.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. A google adwords ad was running that stated we were a Revdex.com member with an A+ member without my knowledge. The company employed to do Triangle Heating and Coolings LLC’s advertising is [redacted]. At the time I was made aware, I contacted [redacted] and had them take the ad down.“I even went as far as to search for HVAC companies and they didn’t come up.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. Being a member of the Revdex.com is not a requirement of any company. We have not yet decided if this type of investment would be worthwhile to our company, thus we are not a member.“this is speculation but I think the bulk of the Facebook and Google reviews are from friends and family claiming to have had a system installed. I can’t prove this but based on my research, I have concluded that this is likely the case ”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. We can prove this by supplying past sales receipts of these customers based upon their reviews. It is also impossible to guarantee that any review was made or not made by anyone.“They stole two breakers that I purchased from [redacted] for my electrical panel which I told them were off limits and used them to install their equipment.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. The circuit breakers used in the installation were purchased from Triangle Building Supplies and Services in Bellefonte on December 30, 2016, with a receipt showing the PO being labeled for the job [redacted]. Receipt invoice number is [redacted].“They also damaged my table saw which was in close proximity to the furnace during the install.”Above is a direct quotation from the complaint summary. This statement is false and inaccurate. The damage to the table saw was picture sent to Triangle Healing and Cooling LLC of purple PVC primer on the table saw. During the installation process that required the use of said PVC primer, the table saw was covered with plastic to protect it. Therefore, there is no way that PVC primer could have permeated the plastic to damage the table saw.Settling of complaint1. “The 6??? Flex line to the left of the furnace wasn???t Connected to anything. Upon further investigation, the damper that was in the vent was stuck in the closed position. This has to be fixed and needs to be working properly. You must sign off that this has been fixed and that it is working properly.”This item was connected and working properly after inspection of the unit on January 19, 2017,2. "In accordance with the proposal, you have to install dampers on all flex runs immediately. This is a breach of contract and you illegally had me sign a form saying the work was complete when it was not. This is a violation of the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act.”The item was signed at the discretion of Mr. [redacted], and previous documentation can be noted above.3. "I never received a signed copy of the proposal with Triangle???s agent???s signature on the document. In section 517.7 Home Improvement Contracts, it states that no contract shall be valid or enforceable against an owner unless it is signed by the company performing the work and a copy provided to the home owner. This means that our agreement is void.”The homeowner already received these documents which were signed by both parties, but will be provided to him at no cost, if he requests them.4. "The ducting in the family room portion of the basement is incorrect. The sizing is way to large and the step downs are unnecessary. This is creating too much velocity to be lost to the living room, dining room, and kitchen. It is sad that I have to tell you this, but the HVAC vendors recommended that an 8???xl2??? duct be used and connected to the 8???x8??? step down. The fireplace will need to be fixed since you cut an unnecessarily large hole in it. This will be at Triangle Heating and Cooling LLCs expense,”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.5. “The vent installed on the furnace water collection system should be installed after the trap so that the system can ???burp.??? The current configuration causes an air lock. The cap on top of the vent also needs a hole drilled in it to prevent an air lock. "Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.6. “The deadhead at the top of the furnace is incorrect. The deadhead is causing the air to pound the top of the deadhead thus reducing velocity. The air needs to be guided in the direction it is supposed to go. This means that 45 degree angles need to be installed on the supply duct or a radius using a duct square. This poor design is impacting the overall velocity of the system.”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.7. “There is a flex line in the garage that is duct taped. I don’t know what happened to the flex line but this is unacceptable and the whole line will be replaced. I will not accept a jerry rigged system. I can???t believe that as thorough as I am you actually thought I wouldn???t see this!”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19,2017.8. “Two registers need to be added to the living room/dinning room. One register needs to go on the back wall (the location I have been telling you needed a register for the last freaking month!), the flex lines for these registers need to be connected to the 8??? X 12??? duct. They cannot be connected to the 8??? X 8??? Section bccause there aren???t enough CFMs left in the system to supply the lines.”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on Januaiy 19, 2017.9. “I want a copy of the startup report for my records.”The startup report is not required in residential records. This will not be supplied.10. “The thermostat in the living room is off by at least 6 degrees. This needs to be fixed immediately.”The previous complaint was the thermostat was off by 5 degrees. There are inaccuracics with his claim. I had already disproven the thermostat inaccuracy to Mr. [redacted] on January 19, 2017, when I took temperature readings throughout the living room. All temperature readings were consistent with the thermostat readings.11. “The system needs to be balanced. Waving a thermometer around in the air does not balance the system. You must use a Balometer. I have included a picture of the device because at this point I???m not sure you know what it is. I also want documented proof of the readings at each register.”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.12. “I want a new 30 amp breaker and a 20 amp breaker to replace the two that were stolen from me.”As proven by receipts that will be provided upon request, these breakers were never stolen.13. “I want written proof by the owner of Triangle Heating and Cooling that the system has been properly balanced using a Balometer, the thermostat has been properly set up, the heat pump has been properly sized and fixed so that it will adequately heat/cool my home and will not turn on when the temperature drops below 30 degrees.'’Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.14. “Because Triangle Heating and Cooling has stolen from me and made my family feel uncomfortable in addition to failing to adequately install my system on two separate occasions, all work will be closely monitored and documented. I work during the week and will not allow Triangle Heating and Cooling into my home when I am not present because of items being stolen and because they make my family uncomfortable. Therefore, all work will be completed on the weekend around my family's schedule.” No work will be rendered to Mr. [redacted]. We have done everything in our power to satisfy him including additional visits post installation. He may now seek other expertise by other companies at his OWN expense.15. “I want my table saw fixed!”There was no damage made to his table saw by Triangle Heating and Cooling LLC.16. “I want a 15% discount, at the recommendation of [redacted], for all of the time I have had to invest in phone calls, research, and visits by HVAC contractors.”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.NO ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS WILL BE PROVIDED.17. “I would rather have another company come in and fix the system at Triangle Heating and Cooling, LLC's expense because of the theft that occurred. I no longer trust your company and your workers.”No work will be rendered to Mr. [redacted]. We have done everything in our power to satisfy him including additional visits post installation. He may now seek other expertise by other companies at his OWN expense.18. “I want the right sized heat pump for my home with verifiable proof signed off by a Mechanical engineer that the unit is correctly sized.”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017,19. “I want the pinched flex line downstairs in the basement bathroom fixed. You can feel that the actual line inside the insulation is pinched ”Mr. [redacted] already has expressed satisfaction with the unit and performance on January 19, 2017.
