Triangle Labor Services Reviews (2)

Day labor to unload moving truck never showed up. Triangle Labor refused to respond to my phones calls and e-mails.I contracted Triangle Labor Services to supply two helpers (day labor) for 2 hrs on July 24, 2016. They were to arrive at 3pm and unload a moving truck. They never showed up. I called at 3:15 pm and spoke with [redacted] who promised he would call back with their status. After 3-4 additional calls to [redacted] (who refused to answer the phone) and several e-mails to [redacted] (which he did not respond) - my wife and I had to unload the truck ourselves. WHAT A DISASTER! I contracted Triangle for this work!!!At 6:30pm AFTER we unloaded the entire truck and ON OUR WAY to return the rental truck, someone called my wife and said the help could be on it's way. She said that we had to UNLOAD THE ENTIRE TRUCK OUR SELVES! His response was " Good, then its all taken care of". Really? It's all taken care of? We had a contractual arrangement and they not only didn't supply the labor, and didn't communicate the status, they think all is well. They should compensate ME for the work MY WIFE AND I had to perform that THEY DID NOT SUPPLY.Desired SettlementCompensation in the amount of $160, for the labor I HAD TO SUPPLY because Triangle Labor Services refused to suppy me labor the contractually agreed to. They were to charge me $135 plus $25 administration fee. Since I supplied ALL OF THE LABOR ($135) and I now have to complain to Revdex.com ( $25 Administration fee ($25) I am owed $160.By the way, they claim an A rating from the Revdex.com. Ha! See their website: "We have been in business since 2010 and we enjoy an A rating with the B.B.B." http://247movinglabor.com/simple-beginnings/ Business Response I personally contacted the customer and explained to him that we were running late due to the earlier job being delayed and work taking longer due to the extreme heat. He was also contacted by the crew that had been given his job order. At that point he informed them he would no longer be needing our services. He apparently unloaded the truck himself. He has been refunded his entire deposit which we could have kept. (We have a non-refundable policy for deposits on our website where he left the deposit.) We incurred a loss due to him occupying a spot on our calendar during our busy season. Once again had he just been patient the work would've been completed. No one refused to answer his calls. We don't have a receptionist and everyone was in the field. I responded to him while on my family vacation. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by our tardiness but we can't pay money to every customer that cancels.Consumer Response I had a contractual arrangement with Triangle Labor Services to supply 2 helpers, for 2 hrs, on 7/24 at 3pm to unload a moving truck. They defaulted on their contract and never showed up to perform the work. I had to request a deposit refund from [redacted].I called them 5 times on 7/24. After the first called they refused to answer the next 4 calls, or communicate when the helpers would arrive. I sent 3 e-mails that day as well. They never responded to them. They were never concerned about the contract default on their part, until I contacted them by e-mail. Their website says they are committed to customer satisfaction, but they are not. They will simply claim to refund your deposit if they don't show up - leaving you high and dry with your moving goods, and another way to figure out how to unload them. Here is the series of events:7/24 - 3pm: No help at the scheduled time.3:12pm - I call TLS and am told we are on their schedule. "Someone" will call me.3:49pm - I call TLS (they refuse to answer)4:00pm - I e-mail TLS (they do not respond)4:17pm - I call TLS (they refuse to answer)4:43pm - I call TLS (they refuse to answer)4:40pm - I call TLS (they refuse to answer)4:48pm - I e-mail TLS (no immediate response)Now at this point, after 5 phone calls and 2 e-mails I have no idea if they will ever show up.6:00pm - no return phone calls or e-mail response from TLS6:25pm - with no hope of ever hearing from TLS ever again, we have completed unloading the truck our selves. I am 57, my wife is 56. It was 108 deg heat index that day - maybe hotter in the truck. They did not show up, they did not communicate when they would show up. We had a truck to return that evening. I was almost 3-1/2 hrs since the contractual start time, with no response or assurance from them they would provide the helped they promised.6:28pm - someone from TLS calls to say they are now available. We inform them the truck has been unloaded due to their lack of showing up or communicating delay time. Their response it "Good, then it's all taken care of!). This was 3-1/2 hrs after the contractual start time - first time we heard they were available.6:44pm - TLS responds to my e-mail - "I am on vacation and not even supposed to be taking calls"7/25 - I call [redacted] to indicate that TLS defaulted on their contract with a no show. [redacted] immediately credits me my deposit with TLS.No further contact from TLS until I confirm, in writing, (7/27 email) that they defaulted on the contract, due to the lack of commitment, lack of delivery services, and lack of communication. I also requested partial compensation for the huge truck I had to rent, expecting their service to help unload. Had I known they would not show up, I could have rented a much smaller truck, and brought the balance of boxes in my car during my weekly trips to [redacted]. I requested $160 to partially reimburse my out-of-pocket expenses, based on I had reasonable expectations that they would supply 2 helpers, for 2 hrs, at 3pm on 7/24. The rental truck cost me ~$256. On 7/28 numerous e-mails between myself and TLS:TLS - states it is their fault, they apologize, I have every right to be upset.TLS - Accused me of extortion for requesting partial reimbursement of my out-of-pocket expenses. Tells me I am unreasonable, I don't have a written contract with them, and to just move on.TLS - Tells me I "saved money" because they didn't show up. (!) Tells me I should have been "more patient". (!)TLS - Tells me I am "not a customer anymore".TLS - Tells me "sometimes, that how it goes".All of the above can be verified with phone call and e-mail time stamps, and actual e-mail communications. In the end, [redacted] credited my deposit for default of contract on TLS part. I requested additional compensation for out-of-pocket expenses I made, based on reasonable belief TLS would supply labor at the contractual time. I would not have made these expenses if I had known they would not show up. I didn't even request compensation for the inconvenience and nuisance TLS caused me and my wife. I told them their reputation, with me, was ruined. Their response "You saved money", "You should have been more patient", and "That's how it goes sometimes",I'm not sure how their contractual default, and lack of satisfactory response earns a Revdex.com A+ rating.Final Business Response I spoke to the customer that afternoon. I explained to the customer that we were running late that due due to the previous customer running late and the extreme heat means the men are moving slower with more frequent breaks. I further explained that NO one was in the office that day. Customer called my cell phone and I answered while on vacation. I refunded the customers $50 deposit the next day after hearing from my men that he no longer needed our services. Said customer did have limited communication that day and we were running a few hours late. That is why his deposit was refunded. Customer was moving regardless. Customer would have incurred the same expense or more regardless. He is demanding $160. In compensation for unloading his own belongings from his own truck. We do not have any of his money. All has been refunded. It is regrettable and the crew has been reprimanded and we have taken steps to insure that this situation won't happen in the future. All customers are told that afternoon start times can be tricky. Customer only called my cell phone number that day. There are 3 different numbers on our website. Any of the other two would have gotten him an immediate response. Customer was extremely agitated and aggressive leaving several vm's and emails that only I can read and listen to. As far as we are concerned it is regrettable but it is finished. Customer will NOT be paid by us for defaulting. We didn't default. Just simply couldn't arrive before he had already completed it himself.

The truth is you couldn't deal with a small delay and became extremely rude and for lack of a better term " threw an extreme temper tantrum in which you used foul language and yelled at myself the owner.
This industry has occasional delays that are out of our control i.e. Traffic accidents, previous customer is late, mechanical issues etc.
Our employees are not going to be knowingly sent to a hostile environment and you never calmed down. Therefore you were cancelled due to your own childish reaction to real life issues. Have a good day
