I went to Triangle Lactation to see [redacted]-Smith in regards to my low milk supply and troubles with breastfeeding. She had me fill out a report on her website before coming in, for her to have some background history on myself. She used this report and information we discussed during our session to write a report to send to my son's pediatrician. The wavier she had me sign was to allow her to release this information to the doctor. At no time did she disclose this would be a $300 extra charge, also during the session she asked me try a nipple shield that she carried to see if it would help with my breastfeeding. Then after I had used it informed me that it was a $9 charge for that nipple shield. She was not forthcoming with her extra charges and hid them from me. I find this way of business disgusting and dishonest towards vulnerable women seeking help to feed their child the way they had hoped. She also ignored my email to her after saying she wanted to stay in close contact then gave the excuse of not receiving more emails as to why she didn't respond.
