Company damaged our property when delivering our gravel, and will not investigate or resolve the complaint with us directly.On Thursday, April 21st, 2016, Triangle Landscape Supplies delivered crush and run gravel to our home. We had prepared an area for an additional parking pad by clearing, leveling, and lining the area with railroad ties that were secured by rebar to each other and to the ground. The driver made the decision to leave our driveway. (We later discovered that company policy prohibits drivers from leaving a customer's driveway, but we did not know that at the time, and it is not stated on their delivery receipt.)The driver backed into the dirt area and dumped half of the load, but he was stuck as he tried to pull forward. When trying to get unstuck, his tires and the front end of his truck began digging ruts and sliding left, thereby mangling our railroad ties and rebar. He did get out of the dirt, and then backed up the driveway the dump the remainder of our gravel. The driver gave me his name before leaving, and afterwards I contacted the office and was connected with [redacted] the Operations Manager. I asked him politely if someone was going to come check out our damage, and he immediately became combative and profanely abusive. He pointed out that the delivery receipt states that their company is not responsible for any damage to the driveway or property beyond the street. However, he also told me that drivers are not permitted to leave the driveway at a homeowners property. My position is that if company policy prohibits drivers from leaving the driveway, then the company must be responsible for damage caused by breaking such policy. A "no responsibility" line on a receipt does not give a company license to damage and mangle property while breaking company rules. On Saturday, April 23, 2016, I called and spoke with the company owner, [redacted], to discuss the situation. He was also of the opinion that his company was in the right, and backed the decision of [redacted] I suggested that I would fix and replace the rebar and re-level the pad if he would refund us for the delivered gravel. He said he would not do that, so I said I would stop payment on the gravel, he said that's fine, I'll sue you. We have done nothing to clean up or repair the area. We have several photographs and some video of the damage. Not only have I and my family been treated egregiously by this company, but, we have suffered financial loss by the damage their driver caused to the parking pad and materials.Desired SettlementI want a representative of the company to come to our home and see the actual damage that was caused. I also want to be refunded for the gravel in repayment of the railroad ties and their delivery, rebar, and the time and effort spent preparing the parking pad.

Triangle Landscape seems to think that it is acceptable to have 50% rock mixed in with "Screened Top Soil". You can go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy top soil all day long with little to no rocks in the mixture. The manager tried to make it right after my initial complaint by removing the "Rock Soil" that was initially dumped only to replace it with a similar "Rock Soil" with a slightly different color. The owner contacted me via email and asked for my number to discuss the issue further. I provided my number and followed up with him two more times and heard nothing back. I am out ~$190, 8 hours of work hauling and shoveling, and I still don't have what I paid for - "Top Soil"! I want a refund. Triangle Landscape does not understand what "Top Soil" is.Desired SettlementA refund
