Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:My response to Business: Everything in the business response is a lie. There were two cashiers who were in the front of the store. My son did make the transaction. He went to the store for me. It was my money. As I stated in my initial complaint, my son informed the cashier that she owed him $10. He left the counter after the cashier refused to give him his change. He did complain, but no one would help him. He called me and I asked him to pick me up to so that we can go back to the store together. I raised my son to be respectful. The business is ABSOLUTELY incorrect as to my behavior. I requested to speak to a manager and I was told the cashier was the manager. When I asked for the telephone number for the manager, she gave me the store number. I called the number before I left the store and the cashier picked up the phone as if nothing was happening. It was the cashier who was insulting when I explained how she got confused when taking the money from my son. She said, "Oh you know math." Of course, I began feeling completely ignored as a customer. It was I who called the police because I felt I was robbed. The manager was sitting in the back of the store the entire time. He never came out nor did any of the employees go get him when I requested to speak to him. The police gave me his name and number so I'm not sure why the store owner/manager didn't also get it. The business made up the story about checking drawer balance after the store closed, after I mentioned it in my initial complaint. If they were going to check the balance, they should've told the officer who spoke to me after he spoke to the owner. The officer only said that there were no cameras in the store. If the owner would have came out to speak with me when I initially requested a manager, I would have given him my name and number. Instead, his entire team lied about him being in the store. The manager/owner did not speak one word to me. In response to the store being in business for years in the location which is predominately African-American, as I waited to be helped, a number of customers began telling me their stories of how the same cashier tried stealing their money and credit cards. It's bad enough that these people conduct business behind a bulletproof wall. It's worse that this business is obviously stealing money from a community that is unable to defend itself against people hiding behind a wall.Regards,

We are writing this letter in response to your letter of February 2"2016.We wish to inform you that the complaint filed by [redacted] is absolutely wrong and unjustified. As you will notice from her letter itself she did not even do the transaction. It was her son who had come to the store...

who had bunch of notes in his hand and he handed very carefully only a $10.00 bill and collected the tickets and left the counter. On all over windows we have signs very clearly written “please count your change and check your merchandise before leaving the counter". The Customer (son) of [redacted] did not have any complaint when leaving the counter.[redacted] came to complain after more than 45 minutes of the customer having left the counter and created a much unwarranted Scene of insulting and noise at our establishment and then called on Police without any evidence of any fault from our side.Seeing her attitude of just talking insults it was felt not to talk to her but only to Police. After the close of shift we did balance our Cash with the reports and there was no extra cash found in the drawer of the Cashier. The Police officer had said that he will pass by to check if there was any overage but we did not see any one, We were not given any phone or address to contact him so it was not possible for us to inform or write to anyone. We are in business for over 15 years at this location and continue to serve the community by doing our best. Under any circumstance it is of no interest to us to keep a customer's even a penny and loose him/her while we wish to continue in business for very long time.
