My home *** Icemaker was leaking water and in checking with *** they recommended this companyI explained the problem and the model number when I made the appointmentThe technician arrived and took off the back panel and said that a new water pump was needed.He didn't have one with him so that would have yto be orderedHe wrote out the bill and they charged me $85/ hour for 1/hours plus a $zone charge and then tax on that total.Total bill $and no repairI asked the technician if the same charges would be in effect once the water pump was going to be installedThis is pretty close to grand theft on the companies partWhen I called the company I was told that charging for drive time was standard practice and the zone charge was standard practiceI have had repairs on a number of home appliances and have never had to pay these high ratesThese should have been stated when I made the appointment.They were notAlso I live off of Iand exit and I can get anywhere in Raleigh within minutes
I would give this company a on a scale of and not recommend that any residence use before having disclosure of costs up front
