I paid $853.23 for an engine he was going to install on my lawn mower and I have received nothing. No motor no refund just excuses.Scam alert! I contacted Triangle Small Engine repair I needed my lawn mower fixed. [redacted] says 3-5 days the engine is in stock. I hear nothing for 10. When I contacted hi. He gave me a date range that has now come and gone. Lots of excuses and now 20+ days later more excuses as to why he can't refund my money in a timely manner. I paid for the engine and was to pay the labor later. I have no engine and now am filling claims with my credit card company. You needs a small engine repaired find someone else.Desired SettlementI want the refund of $853.23 refund to me since he has not delivered the engine that I paid for. [redacted] has only had excuses and my money and I still have a broken mower and a lot less money.

Deposit was paid for repairs that have not been completed. Service and Communications have been sub-par, and now need a refund. On 3/22/14, Triangle Small Engine Repair, accepted a job to repair a Craftsman riding lawnmower with a bad transmission. The company had said over the telephone that transmission should be able to be completed for under $300. Upon arrival, the estimate was changed to $473.73, which was over the amount for which the repair was worthwhile. After some discussion with the senior Mr. [redacted] and his assurance that "the tractor is in great shape. When we get done, I'll be good as new," I agreed to the repair job, at which time they indicated that they needed a deposit of half the quoted labor, and all of the parts, or $340. Went to ATM and returned with $340 payment. Parts were evidently back ordered from [redacted] for several weeks. Communications were spotty due to emails that "weren't going through". Starting 4/3, communications went downhill, with text messages to the company not getting responses for days or weeks at a time. On 4/22, got notifed that internal hydraulic pump wasn't working correctly, and that they were working on it, and that it should be ready "soon". On 4/29, company restated the same, with promise that they'd get it reassembled and let me know. Continued to contact company via text messaging, only to get responses such as "it's being reassembled. I'll text you" for weeks at a time. 5/14 Message from company indicated that they'd have it back together on Friday and call then. Did not get a call on 5/16, so contacted company. Response was that they would have it back together on 5/17, and that they'd call. No call on 5/17. 5/19 contacted company, with no response. 5/20 Got response that [redacted] (who'd been only contact through the process) would be back in town to finish the job, and that the tractor could be picked up late on 5/20 or 5/21. 8:30PM Was notified that they needed to adjust in the morning. Expressed displeasure with process. [redacted] replied that he regretted that this has been less than pleasant, but that they'd have done on 5/21. No contact from company on 5/21. Contacted company on 5/22. [redacted] said that he'd left it with his father to repair and was to contact me, but that he ([redacted] would contact me. No response on 5/22, so contacted the company on 5/23. Called and spoke to the senior Mr. [redacted] who said that he'd not been able to work on it much due to personal issues, but that the pump was bad and they probably couldn't fix without a new pump. He suggested that I look for a pump or an alternate source for the transmission. I told him that I'd already searched prior to bringing it to them. He said he'd try one last source of pumps, and understood that we had already exceeded budge. He said he'd call back on 5/23. No response. On 5/29 Contacted [redacted] and said that we needed to have it fixed this week, or get a refund. He said he didn't know status, but would find out. No response back on 5/29. Contacted company on 5/30. [redacted] expressed that the mower was not cut ready. On 5/30 I stated that it was time to give up and get money back and pick it up. Response from [redacted] was "I have no problem with you picking up and refunding some of the money for labor". My response was "Would not have spent time or money without your Dad's assurance that he could get it working good as new. I need a full refund of labor, and will reluctantly agree to paying for parts with a receipt for the purchases, and the replacement parts". No response from company. On 6/2 I asked if they had receipts and parts "Let's wrap this up". Response was "All parts have been installed and cannot be returned. We can set at time to meet for you to pick up the tractor." My response was" Understood, but want receipts for the parts that were bought and the old parts. We'll deduct that from the $340 that was paid and the remainder is the total refund due". No response. 6/3 sent "Agree?". No response.6/4 sent "Please reply" No response from company.Desired SettlementI've reluctantly agreed to let them keep money for parts purchased, provided they have the receipts for the parts, and the parts that were replaced, and that balance due me, as a refund, is $340 minus parts purchases that have documentation. However, without a response from the company, I am out a lawn tractor, and $340.
