I gave a deposit on March 1 in the amount of $500 on a boat motor and trailer. Receipt says refund if engine does not work. Refuses to return deposit.
On March 1, 2019 I visited *** at Trick Marine and we got along fine. He seemed like a nice guy.
I put a cash down payment of $500 on a boat he had for sale pending successful trial run to prove the engine would perform as it had been sitting for a long time. I have a receipt dated 3/1/19
Three times he said the engine was working and we hooked the boat up to my car and launched it and it would not run at the dock, let alone on a trial run. The engine had multiple problems which included the water pump, carburetors, wiring harness, battery, and the computer. This went on for two and a half months and I finally rejected the boat and requested my deposit back.
For the last month and a half *** has promised he would pay me back but is never there when he wanted me to meet with him. He would promise a call backs and those would never come. Any time I could reach him it was a new excuse with a promise of some sort that never happened.
I am finally giving up and will have to find another way to get my deposit refunded.
I do have a bill of sale which clearly says that the deposit would be returned if I was not satisfied. I do not trust this engine nor do I trust the ability of Trick Marine to properly service an engine (Yamaha 90).
Over four months is too long and unethical business practice.
He is no longer answering my texts or calls

All I want is my cash refund. I have a receipt in the amount of $500.00 and that is all I want back

Need my money I was promised
I brought my boat to him to sell and he said his friend wanted to buy the boat. I didn't have the title of the boat so he said he was going to order the title and when he gets the title he will pay me the money for the boat. Called several times last year to ask him if he got the title yet and he just gave me the run around about getting the title. So I gave up asking him.As of now never got the money for the boat that he promised me and he has my boat to.
I need the money to me that I was promised.
