Tricked Out Accessories Reviews (%countItem)

I bought a charging cord on Sunday September 22 at the Farmington Utah store. I brought it home (Hendeson, NV) and tried it out. It did not work. I called the Farmington Utah Store on Sunday 29th to see what could be done. They stated I could come back to the store or contact the corporate headquarters. I found a email address for corporate and emailed them on Sunday the 28th about the situation with no response. I then went on their webpage and again wrote a week later a request for a new cord or a refund with no response. At this point I want my money back and do not want to deal with this company again. Their return policy says I must be present with my credit card to get a refund, but being that I am out of state how could I do this?

Hello and thanks for sending the email to us. Our corporate email has been acting up a bit and our apologies for the delay.

For your cable-we do have a lifetime warranty on all of our products and can easily swap it out for you, but I understand proximity is an issue for you. All of our cables are tested from the factory to ensure reliability and have 100% guarantee on them. Have you checked your cable with other chargers, phones, and have you checked your charing ports?

As for the refund-since chargers aren't refundable, theres not a whole lot we can do to help unless you brought it back as soon as you found out it wasn't working-and we could diagnose it. if we can get the product back to the store for us to examine we can issue you a new one. Also the reason that we can't do a credit refund over the phone is because our chip readers don't allow that (for security).

Please let me know when you can return the cable to us

Thanks for the response. We would like the product back to validate the claims and we will happily mail you another cable. Currently we don't have any information to go off of other than the claims. Please mail it back and we will send you a new one.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I refuse to spend any more money with the awful company. Totally unsatisfactory

Sincerely

I purchased a replacement battery on 12/16 and took it back in on 12/26 because there was no improvement in battery life. They replaced the battery again and still no improvement on battery life. When I took it in again they are now telling me there is severe water damage and won’t do anything about their horrible product. My phone has only been in their hands and mine in the week it got “severe” water damage and my phone has not even come close to water in my watch. If there is water damage they were the ones who caused it and will no longer stand by their customer service, product, or repair. I’m out $65 dollars for the battery and now my phone has water damage not caused by me and nothing will be done about it.

We have reached out to *** on the several social media platforms that she left negative feedback (5 sites in all) and explained to her that her device has been water damaged and we cannot guarantee the battery performance because the device has been compromised. Here is the message that we sent (along with several photos).

Hi ***,
I’m sorry to hear about your trouble with the iPhone battery, and I understand your frustration. I have talked to all the parties involved, and I have also tracked down the paperwork from both the original repair and and the warranty replacement, as well as the third time you brought it in but did not receive a new battery. I have a pretty good understanding of the situation. Unfortunately, it seems that you did not receive a very good explanation from our team about what was going on with your phone, so I want to clarify that for you. You brought your phone in on December 12 for a battery replacement. The phone would not turn on when we checked it in, so we were unable to do a full diagnostic before the repair. At that time we did not see any indication of liquid contact in your phone, and after replacing the battery, our diagnostic found that everything in your phone was functioning except the fingerprint scanner. That was noted on the form and acknowledged with initials. Although the new battery got your phone up and running, it apparently did not perform like a brand new battery as expected. We have worked hard to source the very best quality batteries, so this sort of issue is uncommon, but we do occasionally come across a defective battery that doesn’t perform like a brand new battery should. That’s why we offer a 90 day warranty, and is why we replaced the defective battery for you free of charge on December 26. Based on the paperwork, and information from the repair tech and store manager, there was also no sign of liquid inside your phone during the warranty replacement, and we again have initials confirming that the phone was in good condition before and after that repair. On January 4, you brought the phone in again because of poor performance. This time, when we opened the phone, we saw signs of significant amounts of water inside the phone. There are Liquid Contact Indicators (LCI) inside the phone that have turned from white to red, indicating that they have come in contact with water. There are also some water spots and corrosion that are clearly visible inside the phone. The kind of corrosion that happens inside a cell phone generally appears white or greenish, and “rust” was not the right word to use to describe it. Such deposits can show up very quickly after a phone has been wet, especially if the phone has been powered on or used at all after getting wet. Our policies about water damage are very clear, and we do not offer any warranty on phones that have been liquid damaged at any point, whether before or after our repair. We are only able to guarantee our own parts and installation, and any contact with liquid can cause all kinds of problems unrelated to our repair. We have 3 separate documents where either you or Drew Putnam initialed and signed agreeing to those terms. That is why we are unable to offer any further replacement or refund. For your reference, I have attached copies of the the 3 forms from each of the times you brought your phone in, as well as some pictures showing the signs of liquid inside your phone. Please respond to me at [email protected] if you have any further questions or concerns.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I wrote a review on only 2 social media sites (yelp & Facebook)by the way. I understand there is water damage but the problem is the water damage was caused by someone in your company and you are now using it to void a warranty on multiple batteries that never worked in the first place. I received the email and responded to the company and have not received another response. They are unwilling to help solve this problem just pushing the blame and responsibility when my phone was damage while in their possession.

Sincerely

Thanks again for responding to this message--but as you can see, we have physical documentation regarding the device when it was checked in and have provide that information to you. We know you are upset, but being more upset won't make it right. We cannot work on a device that has water damage

I went to the south town mall location to get me and my girlfriends new iPhone protected on the screen. Dropped them off, but not after the salesman pushed us to buy a screen protector hard for 5 minutes. It was pathetic. Leo ( the general manager he said ) helped us. We received our phones back after the screen protector installation and the top eair piece of my girlfriends phone was so muffled you could barely hear. So I went back to the store. Where LEO accused me of breaking my phone in offense to blame them for it. I couldn’t believe it. After I was treated like garbage they wouldn’t refund me for the screen protectors they did a bad job putting on in the first place. He told me that it says it on the receipt no refunds for screen protectors. The phone speaker eventually dried out, but if it dried out and fix that means they used a lot of solution and DID IN FACT BREAK MY SPEAKER FOR THE MOMENT. AFTER THEY BLAMED ME FOR BLAMING THEM.They never offered me a receipt. I will never go to this place again. They should watch the cameras and see how this all unfolded with audio. I will never do business here again. I’m not filing a dispute because the phone works again. I would like my money back as I threw the trash screen protectors away.
