Trinity Oaks Mortgage Reviews (%countItem)

This company and it's employees are horrible. I selected this company to purchase a home in December of 2019. Every time it was time to close on my home I would receive notification the day prior that I could not close and that an extension would have to be done through my realtor. The reason that was given to me during the THREE extensions that were performed were that Rural Development was behind on processing loans. After months of getting this excuse I contacted Rural Development for myself and they informed me that this simply was not true and that no information had been submitted to them for my loan to be processed. I then contacted my broker at Trinity Oaks (Steve *** to tell what Rural Development told me and he admitted to not sending the information. So basically I had been jerked around for months when in fact nothing was done. After another month, the seller of the home that I was in contract with refused to agree to another extension if I did not close on the home. Steve assured me that this would get done. It did not! So I lost the home that I wanted. I then attempted to contact the President of the this company (Michael *** Michael assured me that he would look into the matter and get back with me with information. I still have not received any further correspondence from him either. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE DO ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL GET THE RUN AROUND AND NO ANSWERS FROM ANYONE. Not even the President of the company follows through.

Desired Outcome

Contact by the Business I would like answers as to why my file was not done, why the president did not follow through with the information he said he would provide, and what will be done about this matter.

Contact Name and Title: Michael *** - Presiden

My name is Michael *** and I am the President of Trinity Oaks Mortgage as of February 12th, 2020. I did have the opportunity to speak with *** and ***. I heard the frustration that *** and *** both experienced with my, now former, Loan Officer - Steve *** I did in fact let *** know that I would follow up with Steve to ensure we came up with a solution. My mistake was trusting that my former employee would communicate effectively with *** and *** our ability to close their loan. Although there were still many conditional hurdles to getting this loan closed, doesn't excuse the fact that my loan officer should have communicated effectively with the borrower's (*** and ***), the listing agent and the buyer's agent. My additional mistake was not getting back to *** and *** after I provided direction to Steve to please handle the customers more effectively. I reinstated my involvement in the loan on Thursday March 12th and did my very best in working with the borrower's and the seller's agent to try and salvage the home that *** and *** were intending to purchase. Unfortunately after learning from the buyer's agent that the communication with Steve *** former Loan Officer of Trinity Oaks, was not taking place as effectively as it should have, the buyer ultimately pulled the listing from the market. I have been working directly with *** and *** to help them with the purchase of a new home. Given that we have a majority of the documentation we will need to re-process and underwrite a new loan, I was able to connect *** and *** with one of my branch manager's, Brent *** to establish a new pre-approval letter so that they could go back out into the market and put a new offer on a different home (within the same general price range). That conversation with *** and Brent took place yesterday, 3/16/2020, and now they will begin their search for a new home to put an offer on. Steve *** is no longer part of Trinity Oaks Mortgage and we have learned a valuable lesson as a company. Our brand is so important to us and how we treat our customers is paramount to our core values of Generous Love, Honest Communication, 2nd Mile Service, and Relentless Pursuit of Execellence - none of which the customer, the seller's agent, or buyer's agent experienced. I also learned through my conversation with the buyer's agent that this is not the first time that Steve *** has conducted business this way. I'm so sorry to *** and *** that they experienced this type of ridiculous behavior from Trinity Oaks, but I'm also relieved that Steve is no longer part of our organization and that we will do what we can to help *** and *** have a better experience for their next home offer and purchase!
