Trinity Paving

Review: My driveway was paved (with asphalt) on 5/13/2011. The asphalt was dropped off around noon and due to mechanical issues with Trinity's equipment, they did not start laying the asphalt until around 6pm. I voiced my concern numerous times and was assured everything would be fine about the asphalt being out all those hours. I asked the workers if they were putting any crushed stone down in spots were there was no solid base and I was told the base was fine and no additional crushed stone was necessary. I was given an additional 1 year on my warranty. Paving finished around 11:30pm. Fall 2012 we noticed mushrooms pushing through the driveway as well as cracks in the asphalt. My husband called to ask about seal coating in Spring 2013 and if something can be done about the holes we now had in the pavement. He was told seal coating is done in the fall and the holes will be repaired when they are in the area. A few more calls over the summer were met by the company's voice mail. I left a message with Trinity on 10/9 (no one picked up again) and received no call back. I emailed 10/11 and on 10/14 was told by email repairs were not covered under warranty b/c it's a natural occurrence but they would make repairs (presumably at my own cost). I pointed out that the pavement is 1" at this section and my quote was for 2.5". I also sent pictures to confirm this and stated that other parts of my driveway appear to be around 1" and falling apart. I have not heard from Trinity since 10/14. I spoke with another paving company to get repairs and was told it's obvious the asphalt wasn't compacted properly, probably b/c the asphalt had cooled.Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund of $2000.00 out of the $7984.00 I paid for the driveway. Trinity is not honoring their warranty which states "guarantee covers 100% of any defect in workmanship or material." Since 2.5" of asphalt was not installed in various areas of the driveway, a partial refund will allow me to coordinate with another paving company to correct the situation.
