First let me say that I am glad we have a place like the Revdex.com where consumers and business can go when a situation like this arises.

I can see how **___ could misunderstand the daily operations of our business, but it's unfortunate that he would make a personal...

attack against our company with slanderous comments ie: “extremely shady in their pricing”, “very shady company”.

In our industry it is standard practice to provide the consumer a proposal that includes all material and labor together therefore giving the consumer the exact amount of the project they are inquiring about. Our proposal for the work ** ___ inquired about was actually $2475, not the $2800 he mentioned in his statement.  The tile he mentioned was $500.  That was at my cost.  That did not include the grout which is a special grout used with the particular tile ** ___ picked out or any of the “set” materials required.  Because of the special type of tile he picked, this job required more time in order to avoid sagging during the drying process.

Our standard practice includes a job site visit to take measurements and to get an overall view of what the consumer wants to achieve, a visit from the consumer to our showroom so that our design team can help them with selections or materials and go over any design ideas the consumer has.  After that we prepare a proposal that gives the consumer the exact price they can expect to pay for the work preformed.  This figure includes all material and labor.  Again, this complete process is done with no obligation or cost to the consumer.  We always encourage the consumer to get quotes from other contractors so they can compare not only price but quality of workmanship.

I did call **___ after one of my employees brought the situation to my attention.  It's my practice as a business owner to reach out anytime a consumer is unhappy.  I began this business over 15 years ago with just me and my truck.  I'm proud to say that I now have a very successful business that averages 100+  remodeling projects a year and employees twelve people who share in my vision of offering superior quality products and excellent customer service.

My desire is to have everyone we meet and/or work with be happy and satisfied with not only our product but our service.  It's unfortunate that in this one incident that did not happen.

Trinity Renovations remodeled one full bath and we were so please, they remodeled the half bath. An extremely organized company with qualified and professional personnel from the owner to those in the showroom and especially those who entered our home and completed the physical work.

Review: The company was extremely shady in their pricing. I went in for a quote on a kitchen backsplash and some bathroom renovations. The company flat out refused to give me an itemized breakdown of price on the job. Three different people within the company said they wouldn't give me the itemized costs or even a simple materials/labor break down on the project. Their reasoning? Because they were afraid I was a competitor trying to steal their secrets. The [redacted] of the company even went so far as to say that he would have never called me back if he hadn't thought I was a referral from another client. In the situation of the kitchen backsplash I finally was able to get them to admit the tile I had picked out was 20 dollars a square foot. Total cost of tile in the kitchen? $500 dollars. Total quote to have the backsplash installed? $2800 dollars. He made some mention of using high end grout. That would leave 2300 dollars for grout and labor to lay 25 sq ft of tile. Very shady company.Desired Settlement: No one else runs a business like this. Every contractor I've ever spoken with is more than happy to give me a breakdown of materials and labor. I believe that Trinity is hiding exorbitant labor costs to try and scam customers out of more money. If they were running a legitimate business all costs would be up front and honest on their estimates.
