To Whom It May Concern:• 5/30/17- Ms*** states she brought in money orders for her June rent which the Leasing Office could not locate. • 6/5/17- A Notice to vacate for nonpayment of rent was delivered to Ms*** as office procedure. • 6/6/17- Leasing Office delivered
follow up notice for nonpayment of rent to Ms***.• 6/7/17- Ms*** was asked to provide receipts for the money orders submitted.• 6/7/17- Ms*** called to discuss June rent- she also provided receipts for money orders as requested.• 6/8/17- The Leasing Office called Ms*** letting her know we could not verify the money orders were ever received and/or deposited by our office; we advised Ms*** to track the money orders and cancel payment once verified they had never been cashed. • 6/8/17- Ms*** brought in receipts showing money orders were being tracked- Ms*** advised the money order company confirmed they had not been cashed therefore they are issuing a refund. • 6/8/17- We spoke with Ms*** letting her know all late fees will be waived once June rent is applied to her account and we are willing to work with her on receipt of her June rent payment. • 6/13/17- An auto generated statement was delivered via e-mail to Ms*** which contained past due rent and late fee amountsMs*** was previously notified on 6/8/that all late fees would be waived in this matter once June rent was applied to her account • 6/13/17- Ms*** contacted the Leasing Office asking why the late fees were on her statement she had receivedWe advised Ms*** that late fees accrue daily and as previously stated, they are being waived once June’s rent is received. We also informed Ms*** when she brings in payment for July it would go towards her June rentWe also discussed that once her refund is received for the money orders (should be in July) she is to pay July rent with that and all late fees are being waived for July as well at which point she will be completely caught up on rent.
