So I went to a bridal show with a friend, filled out an entry form to win a Market Basket gift cardUpon doing so, I checked the box on the back of it allowing myself to be entered into other promotional giveawaysSure enough, I didn't get the gift card, however I did get a call from Renee at Trip Joy informing me I was receiving free round trip airfares insteadAt first I thought it was a sales call and hung upShe was nice enough to call me back so I decided to hear her out and take some detailed notes
vacation destinations, good for two years, transferable, could be used two at a time/ all four together, whateverMy hotels were to be discounted as well (all major chains, ranging to star resorts and I'd choose out of a catalog.) Obviously, total *** right? Well, I set up an appointment to go pick them up and she sent me all the info confirming in writingAt this point I became pretty comfortable because if they were lying, I could have shown the email to an attorney and sued
Before I drove to Lincoln, I came to read a few reviews, so I was expecting a *** show upon my arrivalIt was nothing of the sortI showed my ID at the door along with my debit, and no, they didn't leave my handsNone of my info was takenI filled out the questionare, which I did not find to be invasiveThe tour itself was pleasantThey showed us aroundWe watched a little video showing us a few other resortsWe were also introduced to the vacation ownership packages available and were offered a discount if we bought that dayWe politely declined, and were rebutted with no high pressure sales tacticsWe still left with our airfare vouches, the $gas card, and the future free overnight stayThe tour didn't go over the ninety minutes as promised
So I don't see what all of the fuss is aboutI don't feel scammedI got exactly what I was promisedAs long as you know what you're signing up for, listen while you're on the phone, and read the email, you shouldn't have a problemAll these people are doing is harmless advertisingIT'S NOT A WINNINGThe email clearly states that it's a timeshare promotionIt also states you don't have to buy sign or join to receive your giftsAnd here's the other thing that should be addressedif you don't want them calling you at all, don't check the *** box that gives your consent!
Overall, I'd say my experience was very positive and it was very well worth ninety minutes of my timeWould do future business with InnSeason/ Trip ***
