I hired Triple 7 Movers because I was moving to Boulder City and I was really worried about hiring movers since every large moving company seems to have both a ton of good and a ton of terrible reviews. Since these guys are local and family owned, I figured they'd be more accountable and I'd heard that they hired local guys for the movers. When moving day came, we got a crew of 4 people. All of them were indeed local, no day laborers. They all knew what they were doing and worked steadily loading the truck down 2 flights of stairs. They weren't rushing, but paced themselves well. Even so, they were totally soaked with sweat by the time the truck was loaded (4 hours). They arrived at our new place and unloaded in just over 2 hours, making sure to ask us where we wanted things, especially the big furniture so we wouldn't have to rearrange it ourselves. At the end of the day, our stuff was moved safely and without hassle and we had no damaged items. I highly recommend Triple 7 Movers.

I felt lazy at times during the move because they wouldn't let me help; they just kept saying they will take care of everything (which I'm rather thankful for). I had never used a moving company before, was a little hesitant hearing all of the horror stories, and decided to go with Triple 7 Mover due to the overwhelming quantity of positive reviews and the high rating with the Department of Transportation. The price attracted me because the last thing I wanted to deal with at my new home in Sacramento was some surprise, exorbitant increase in the price as stated by one of the reviewers. I had received quite a few quotes, all of them lower, but had been warned numerous times that the price could double at the time of the move, a potential nightmare. Not so with Triple 7 Movers. I knew where I stood right after they drew up the estimate.
Overall, an easy experience that allowed me to focus on other matters pertaining to my move. I was impressed that Triple 7 Movers sent someone out to my residence without a guarantee that they would ever receive money from me. They went through each room with me and took notes the whole way. On the day of the move I was astounded at how efficient the movers were. They had my furniture wrapped in blankets and plastic to the point where I no longer recognized it. All of my lamps, including bulbs, clothes, and glass framed pictures were carefully wrapped and packed. Boxes disappeared six at a time. They never stopped for a break. They had such a tight system down; I just stayed out of their way and let them work. Amazing. At the delivery, all went smoothly. They reopened my furniture and arranged heavy items where I wanted. Now that I am unpacked, I can say that not one glass or dish was broken, not one piece of artwork was damaged or compromised. No tears, dings or dents in the furniture. Amazing. I do not think I could have done such a flawless job if I had moved it all myself. These guys showed an effort and level of sensitivity that I would expect if they were moving their own family.
