Triple A Paving and Seal Coating L.L.C. resurfaced and sealcoated our driveway November 2, 2017. A couple of weeks later, my husband noticed that the asphalt was pebbly and coming up -- clearly, the sealcoating had not been done properly. My husband texted and called Mr. Jim M several times. Mr. M told *** that we should mark the driveway with chalk and he would be out there Saturday, December 2 to review the issues. He did not come to our house on Saturday, December 2.
In response to a further call/text from ***, Mr. M texted *** on or around Monday, December 4 or Tuesday, December 5 that "[he] would try to get out [to our house] Saturday I have to work during the days I will get out as soon as possible. . ." He did not respond when we asked him for a fixed time.
I spoke with the owner of Triple A Paving, Monica S, on Wednesday, December 6. She said she would take care of the matter and make sure Mr. M handled it. I did not hear from her again and her phone number is no longer operable.
I spoke with Mr. M on Friday morning, December 8, who referred me to his boss, "Steve." Steve said he was on his way to Baltimore, that he had been away and had not heard of the issue, that he would "make it out there" if I texted him our address, and abruptly told me to "stop pushing his buttons." When I asked him for a specific date and time, he hung up on me. Despite his unprofessionalism, I texted Steve our address after he hung up. I have not heard from him since that conversation.
Despite the snow the weekend of December 9-10, our driveway was clear. However, despite assurances that “someone would be by,” no one from Triple A Paving came to inspect our driveway. Note that the problems with the work done on our driveway pre-dated, and was not caused by, the snow.
I emailed Ms. S on Monday, December 11 asking her to remedy our complaints. I have not heard from her or anyone at Triple A Paving as to when they will come to fix our driveway.
This is a continuation of the complaint I filed on January 10, 2018. While Triple A Paving assured us that they would come out once the weather was warm, they have neglected to honor their contract. The asphalt they laid in November is coming up in so many places and so badly that we can see the original pavement underneath. I spoke with the owner, Monica S, and told her that one problem was that they keep saying they'll get to it, but they will not provide a specific date and time window. My husband and I both work so we cannot wait around in the hopes that someone shows up. Additionally, I spoke again with "Steve," who hung up on me after telling me that "he'll get to it when he gets to it." The customer service is unprofessional and insulting, but I am filing this complaint because they did not uphold their end of the contract. The quality of the work is so poor and they have refused to fix it so many times, it is likely we will have to find someone else to perform the work and sue them for the cost.
