Revdex.com [redacted] Dispute Resolutions Specialist ID of [redacted] Mr [redacted] called the dealership and said he had a problem with the truck he had just purchasedWe informed him that we stand behind our trucks and that he needed to return it to the dealership, so we could have our mechanic look at itHe never returned to the dealershipWe cannot take the word of another mechanic who is looking for a pay day, How do we know the extent of the problem, or if he is working with a mechanic to scam us out of moneyNo problems were identified by his mechanic, just that the truck is a ticking time bombNo mechanic that I know diagnoses a truck as a ticking time bombIf he would of returned the truck we could of taken care of the truck’s problems, but he took it to his mechanic and didn’t bring it back to the dealershipIt was Mr [redacted] ’s responsibility to fill the truck with fuel after he purchased itHe choose to drive back to Killeen without filling the truck with fuel We put miles on the truck and never had a problem with the fuel gauge while driving the truck to and from San Antonio, and around the dealership area several timesI can provide documents to support the Mileage we put on the truck after we purchased it, and the mileage on the date we sold it to Mr [redacted] Running a diesel truck out of fuel can reduce power and damage the motor, because, diesel fuel lubricates the motorA diesel motor runs with a great deal of pressure (up to 5000lbs), and when air gets into the fuel system, it can take time for the fuel system to remove all the airDuring that time it will have a rough idle, dying, poor power performance, and smoke because of excess fuel in the system not burningThe only solution to running out of fuel is time driving itThe fuel system will correct itself if it hasn’t been damagedI’m surprised that his mechanic didn’t inform him, that running out of fuel would cause rough idling, dying, poor power, and smokeOr was his mechanic just after a pay day, and that’s the reason for not informing his customer of the related problems to running out of fuelMr [redacted] was given every opportunity to inspect and test drive any one of our plus trucksHe chose to purchase a Dodge truck with miles on itWe did not force it on him, He wanted it, and signed a “AS IS” formIt all could have been resolved if he would of just returned to the dealership and had our mechanic inspect it, He wouldn’t be in a financial bind We stand behind our trucks, and our customers [redacted] President
