I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting Triple C Motors answer, due to the fact that  Triple C Motors introduced  the mechanic as "their mechanic". and the mechanic has texted my husband ,Mr.Braley, introducing himself as [redacted] from Triple C Motors. Triple C Motors took our payment, involved themselves through text, voicemails and personnal contact  while at the shop.In fact this is the first time hearing that Triple C Motors are not part of "[redacted] the Mechanic shop". EXAMPLE of one of A Text That Came From The MechanicHwy is me [redacted] from triple c motors

I am rejecting this response because: when the fuel gauge is reading almost a half tank I felt no need to fill it up before driving to Killeen. And when it ran out of gas completely it read a 1/4. How are you going to tell me that’s not a faulty gauge? And the mechanic, like I stated earlier, informed me that the engine oil was overfilled and the sensor was throwing a oil pressure code, but the oil pressure light did not come on. The compression test that was administered came back that two cylinders piston rings were bad. The valve cover gasket was also bad, to the point that smoke was coming out of where it met the valve cover. If me running out of gas did cause all these issues, the fact still remains that it was due to the faulty fuel gauge. Also, when I was told to bring it back to the dealership , it was after the vehicle constantly lost power, cut out, and smoked. So I obviously would not drive a vehicle in that state at highway speeds from killeen to round rock. and yes, I did choose that truck because the test drive went well  I test drive other trucks and found multiple other issues with them which discouraged me from buying them. Nobody forced me to by this specific truck, but it was highly impressed upon me many times from the salesman. The issues and selling the vehicle to me with them may not have been intentional, but the fact still remains they were present.  Next time I buy a vehicle I suppose I will drop the gas tank and check the float to make sure the gauge reads properly before I buy it

Revdex.com[redacted] Dispute Resolutions Specialist ID of [redacted]   Mr. [redacted] called the dealership and said he had a problem with the truck he had just purchased. We informed him that we stand behind our trucks and that he needed to return it to the dealership, so we could have our mechanic...

look at it. He never returned to the dealership. We cannot take the word of another mechanic who is looking for a pay day, How do we know the extent of the problem, or if he is working with a mechanic to scam us out of money. No problems were identified by his mechanic, just that the truck is a ticking time bomb. No mechanic that I know diagnoses a truck as a ticking time bomb. If he would of returned the truck we could of taken care of the truck’s problems, but he took it to his mechanic and didn’t bring it back to the dealership. It was Mr. [redacted]’s responsibility to fill the truck with fuel after he purchased it. He choose to drive back to Killeen without filling the truck with fuel.  We put 200 miles on the truck and never had a problem with the fuel gauge while driving the truck to and from San Antonio, and around the dealership area several times. I can provide documents to support the Mileage we put on the truck after we purchased it, and the mileage on the date we sold it to Mr. [redacted].  Running a diesel truck out of fuel can reduce power and damage the motor, because, diesel fuel lubricates the motor. A diesel motor runs with a great deal of pressure (up to 5000lbs), and when air gets into the fuel system, it can take time for the fuel system to remove all the air. During that time it will have a rough idle, dying, poor power performance, and smoke because of excess fuel in the system not burning. The only solution to running out of fuel is time driving it. The fuel system will correct itself if it hasn’t been damaged. I’m surprised that his mechanic didn’t inform him, that running out of fuel would cause rough idling, dying, poor power, and smoke. Or was his mechanic just after a pay day, and that’s the reason for not informing his customer of the related problems to running out of fuel. Mr. [redacted] was given every opportunity to inspect and test drive any one of our 70 plus trucks. He chose to purchase a 2005 Dodge truck with 178000 miles on it. We did not force it on him, He wanted it, and signed a “AS IS” form. It all could have been resolved if he would of just returned to the dealership and had our mechanic inspect it, He wouldn’t be in a financial bind.  We stand behind our trucks, and our customers.   [redacted] President
