Review: Triple D was hired to replace two windows. They were improperly installed resulting in leaks developing after three years. Carpenter hired recently discovered that the window fins were removed before installation and some broken siding was caulked together instead of being replaced.Desired Settlement: Cost of repairs submitted by current carpenter to repair the improper installation.

First of all, I did not receive any kind of notification of this problem from the Revdex.com prior to getting a letter in the mail 2 days AFTER the requested reply deadline.

Secondly, the windows were installed in 2006 which would be 7 years ago. The customer stated that the windows started leaking after 3 years. That gave him 4 years in which he could have called me about the problem. I would have appreciated a call to be able to go out and rectify the problem before it was turned into a complaint through the Revdex.com.

I have been in business for 28 years and rarely have had a complaint lodged against my company. This type of thing can usually be easily resolved by a call from the customer with no cost at all to them.

This customer decided instead to hire another contractor to do the work. In his opinion, the job was done incorrectly. IN HIS OPINION. Now I am requested to pay for the work that was done even though I was given no opportunity to repair the job myself.
