Triple Play Tournaments

Seeking a refund from Triple Play Tournaments from owner/operator ***. We are owed a refund of $650 from 2019 season for two tournaments and the owner says that he will mail check but still have not received. Been lied to three times already and have text messages from owner as evidence. Owner continues to collect money from teams for 2020 season and is using fraudulent practices. Everything discussed between our team and owner *** of Triple Play Tournaments has been documented.

I have been trying to collect refunds that is due to our baseball team for rain-outs and us pulling out of tournaments. We are due $1050.00. Every time they say they are going to refund it never happens. I have been trying since June to get the money.

My sons youth baseball team paid league fees to play in a spring baseball league. A majority of the games were cancelled at the last minute with an email from the league stating that the opposing team couldn’t make it for various reasons. After reaching out to a couple of the opposing coaches it was determined that they weren’t actually in the league or had already contacted the director about call availability . The league director apologized via email for his lack of transparency and offered refunds to teams that were enrolled and expecting to play, however, the refunds were never issued.

I registered and paid $375 for two baseball tournaments with Triple Play Tournaments on Jan 2, 2019. Both of these tournaments were later cancelled due to rain. Triple Play's refund policy states that if the tournament is cancelled that a refund will be issued less a $25 fee. I am due $325 refund. I have emailed the owner/tournament coordinator multiple times and have called and left multiple messages requesting my refund. The owner/tournament coordinator even responded in and email that he will issue me a refund within a week, that was August 12, 2019.

In February 2019 I registered my son's baseball team (Mudcats Blue 13U) in two tournaments. The price online was 425.00 each and there was a 50.00 discount for registering for two tournaments making the total 800.00. The tournaments were for April 26-28, 2019 and June 14-16, 2019. The communication was poor right from the get go, there were not enough teams for our April tournament and ended up getting moved to another tournament the week of, without any notice we were just moved over 2 hours away from the original place. On June 10, 2019 I elected to pull from the tournament due to a lack of players, I emailed *** immediately and never received confirmation but I did check the schedule and we had been removed. On June 13, I emailed asking about the 400.00 refund, no response. I emailed again on July 24, August 5 and called on September 9. During all these attempts *** did return one email on July 25, stating he had put a check in the mail that morning- no check ever came and again he would not respond to emails or calls. I went online to the Triple Play Facebook page and noticed many teams waiting on refunds, stating that they were unable to get anyone to answer their calls or reply back to emails. This is not how business should be. I spoke to another team that *** owed 17,000 to and they were working with an attorney.
