I am rejecting this response because: this company was well aware that payment had been received, as the check was cashed within a couple of days of my writing it What they are stating now is a disgraceful, dishonorable manipulation of their own language.As a senior who must be extremely careful of how my dollars are spent, it won't matter what I say about this indignity and the distrust I now hold towards this organization, they will find some excuse, no matter how vague or obtuse, to keep the money they so happily thrust into their coffers once the check hit the cashier's desk

Our records indicate that the refund was dependent on receiving the proof of purchase (copy of customer's cleared check) - which has not been received within weeks of date of sale. We regret the customer's allegations regarding our company and note that we have a very good reputation with occasional complaints - but we do fill over 30,satisfactory orders annually

Thank you for sending the customer's complaint.  We have researched the complaint and found that the customer did not provide the proof of payment (copy of cleared check) within 6 weeks of date of sale per the refund provisions.  Therefore, we cannot provide a refund, but could change the...

delivery address or magazine subscription, if the customer would like.

I am rejecting this response because: what is contained in their statement is an absolute and blatant lie!They know full well that I returned the cancellation to them the day following the sale.  They are telling you this to save their rear ends from going in the wringer and I absolutely reject this company's disgraceful obvious poisonous lies.They are beneath contempt.I've learned something important from this extremely negative experience, that it will be a cold day in hell if I'm ever persuaded to buy anything, no matter what, from people knocking on my door trying to take my money by disguising their true goal by selling wholesome magazines 'for the benefit of our troops.'  What a crock!This company has arrogantly stated a falsity; a sickening, glib response to my genuinely honest request.  If I weren't a lady, I'd tell them what I really think of their scurrilous business practices.That they would stoop so low by telling such outright flagrant lies in order to keep my money is contemptible.  I'm only left to wonder just how many hundreds or thousands of others have been refused their refunds because this company has the unmitigated gall to state that the cancellation 'wasn't received in time.'  What a load of rubbish.There are probably thousands of others out there right now who didn't even bother to make a complaint against this organization because they knew exactly what the result would be - NOTHING.I'm thoroughly disgusted.

We acknowledge receiving the cancellation - but not the proof of payment (copy of her cleared check from her bank).  This is stipulated in the refund provisions described on the Notice of Cancellation "Please allow 4-6 weeks for refund AFTER PROOF OF PAYMENT HAS BEEN PROVIDED.  PROOF OF PAYMENT, COPY OF FRONT AND BACK OF CLEARED CHECK MUST BE PROVIDED WITHIN 6 WEEKS OF THE ORIGINAL DATE OF SALE.  IF NOT PROVIDED, ALLOW 150 DAYS FOR DELIVERY OF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION."
