Triple State Floor Covering Of Northern Va.

Review: We hired Triple State Flooring to repair our hardwood floors in our home in [redacted] VA. His estimate was for $2000 for just repairs or $5027 for entire replacement including the stairs. We gave him a check for $5027 up front (because he had done work for us twice in the past) and then revised the agreement to just doing the repairs of $2000. He cut me back a check for $3000 of which will not clear his [redacted]. After about 7 calls to Bob the owner, he kept telling me that the funds will be in the account and the check will clear. I went to his [redacted] 7 times and all 7 times I was told that his check will not clear. They finally told me that his business account was closed last Dec 2013 for being OVER DRAWN. The $2000 check he gave me was from his personal account and still will not clear. We just recently found out that he went to [redacted] to personally cash the $5027 check (he didn't deposit the check into his [redacted] business account because it is closed) and since he will not call us back. We left his several voicemails, txts and a final email over the last 2 months without any reply at all. His $3000 check will not clear which is fraud and he will not call us back for the refund of $2000 for the floor repairs. His is missing in action and he does not have a business account. He a crook and a fraud and has stole our $5027 check which we have a copy of as well as his estimate. We have read the reviews online about him and his "company" and this is nothing new as there are all negative feedback and complaints. He belongs in jail for stealing our deposit and fraud for writing bad checks.Desired Settlement: Cash refund ASAP or he will face criminal charges to the full extent of the law.
