Triple W Equipment

Review: On June 25, 2013 we purchased a tractor rim from Triple W Equipment in Kalispell, Montana for 310.00 and paid for it on our credit card. We took the rim with us and told the worker the tractor type, year and model. He didnt look at the rim and said he knew which one to order. We went back the following week to pick up the rim and take it to get the tire put on it, when we found out it was the wrong rim. We took it back to Triple W and they said theyd order the correct one. I asked if I could pick it up at their location in Missoula because I was headed that way at the time the rim was due in (we live 75 miles south of Kalispell and 80 miles north Missoula). They said that would be fine. I picked it up, showed them the paperwork and they said all was paid for and I was good to go. On September 5, 2013, I viewed my credit card statement on line and discovered a charge posted August 28, 2013 from Triple W Equipment for 452.51. We called them that afternoon and they told us it was for a rim purchased from them in Missoula. We explained about the June 25th rim and charge. They called us back September 6 and told us the rim cost more (the correct rim was smaller than the original rim ordered so we dont understand why it cost more) and we had to pay for shipping and Kalispell would credit us 310.00 and informed us we could talk with Paul. We called Paul in Kalispell September 6 to try to get it straight and he told us hed need to talk with John who would be in Monday, September 9 and will call us back. No one called us Monday, so on Tuesday, September 10, we called around 2:30. Paul said hed talk with someone and call us back (at this point a credit still had not been posted to our credit card). Paul called back and said we owed the 452.51 and would credit our card 310.00. The credit was posted on 9/11/13.If the correct rim that was ordered cost more, we should have been informed at that time, and if I had to pay shipping to pick it up in Missoula, they should have said so. I also believe we should have been informed of the charge they put on our credit card before they did so. All this was 2 months later!Desired Settlement: Request refund of the difference of the second charge of 452.51 from the first charge of 310.00 in the amount of 142.51 because of undisclosed information of cost and charging against our credit card with out informing us before hand two months after the fact. What would have happened if we hadn't seen the two charges?

The customer, [redacted], brought in an old rim with no tire on it. He did not know what his tire size was. John Deere installs multiple tire options on each tractor and each one uses a different rim. The customer gave us his best guess at the tire size and that was the rim we ordered. The rim was ordered on a stock order, which is free freight, but takes the part about seven days to come in, Then about 6-7 weeks later he came back in and said the rim was the wrong one, but he had the tire size now so we could order the right rim. He told our parts man that he was going to be in Missoula the following day and wanted to know if he could pick up the new rim there. Our parts man said yes; but he would have to pay freight He also toid him the price was higher for the new rim. Mr. [redacted] complained about both enough that our parts man discounted the rim from $450.60 to $368.51, which basically covered his $84.00 next day freight charge (see invoice [redacted]). We have enclosed copies of all his transactions.
