Tripps Travel Network manipulated and mis-represented their product While in Las Vegas on 12/12/17, we went to a seminar for a membership for discounted travels with Tripps Travel Network The original pricing was indicated at $15,995, however we purchased it for $3, The slide shows major discounts on plenty of locations and advertised that they have are also networked with major travel sites ( [redacted] , etc) and indicated they get the best pricesRegardless, their prices are pre-set and timeframes, holidays and blackouts does not apply to members and we can travel anywhere in the world I personally asked if this includes hotel service charges and was told by the presenter that it includes all charges but taxes which wouldn't be that much I purposely asked this because we were told that the hotel that we were staying in charged us a fee and we didn't want to have the same problem againWe were mislead and they misrepresented their savings and products

My family purchased a travel plan in May Jason the presenter told us we would save money on future tripsHe was rightWith the help of Kyle from Tripps Travel Network, we figured out the best way to save money on a Disney CruiseWe plan on using their program at least twice in Thanks Tripps Travel for helping our family get the vacations we want! Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2014/07/08) */ 0n December 09, 1013, the Members attended a presentation with Tripps Travel Network and elected to purchase a membershipThe new members were given a written contract to read and sign for the purchase of the membershipThe member has filed a complaint that states "we were sold a travel service that could not follow through on the deals and discounts that were offered ih their sales presentation"The travel deals that are offered in the sales presentation are travel deals that are available to be booked on the spotOur deals change daily and we update our presentation for the most recent specialsIf the member wants to book the deals that we show, we can help them book those trips on the dey that they buyIn the travel industry, specifically pricing and availability, change continuosly due to many uncontrollable variablesThe above customer did not mention that he wanted to book something that was shown in the presentation, but he could have as all deals are "real" and "live", but by the time he started trying to book something, it was weeks laterThere is nothing in the contract, which is the controlling document that states the deals shown in the presentation are available year roundAs with any other travel arrangements, there has to be availabilityMr [redacted] states he was "told" he could get a hotel stay at the [redacted] for $for any week in Mauibut they were not even given the option of the [redacted] During the high season on Maui, there was no availability for that propertyContrary to what Mr [redacted] states in his complaint, there is no evidence he was informed the above rate was in anyway guaranteed if he bought a membership As Mr [redacted] states, the fulfillment company we are contracted with worked with him on more than one occasion to find his family accommodations in MauiIn fact, the fulfillment company found Mr [redacted] excellent pricing at reputable 3.5-star resorts on MauiMr [redacted] said this was not up to his standardsHe also mentioned the presentation mentioned members can stay in star hotels and resortsWhile tha membership does offer 1-star accommodations, again everything is based on availabilityWhere Mr [redacted] wanted to stay was not available, and we feel a suitable alternative was presented to himIt was his choice to decide not to book what was available The complainant also states "we are at fault for not reading all of the documents before signing"A contract is for the protection of both the customer and the companyThe documents do not list specific discount amounts or percentages, but does state that The Destination Provider [redacted] and Leisure products shall be competitively priced with overall better rates made available than by other travel providers in the travel industry and will offer the MEMBER the best rate on most productsThe complainant, in several areas, states he was "told", or "after being told", etcSince it is not in writing, then it is hearsayThere is a line in the paperwork that asks "Has everything that was promised to you been documented"? While Tripps [redacted] Network has pointed out our fault in not reading through the contract properly, which we already admitted, we are not satisfied with their answer because we feel like they misrepresented the product that they were selling in their sales presentationBecause of this misrepresentation, we willingly signed the contract, only to find out later that they could not deliver on what was soldThey mentioned in their letter that if we had wanted the packages offered during the sales presentation, we needed to book them that dayWe did not know thisWe were given the impression that these sales and discounts were typical for most vacations booked through their serviceWhat we discovered later, after trying to use their service, is that the deals and discounts shown in their presentations are exceptions rather than the norm for locations and hotel chains that we were interested inI understand the need to put your best products or deals forward in order to sell memberships, but if these deals that you are showing are the exception and not the norm, then this would show a misrepresented product We understand Tripps Travel Network's point in saying that what evidence we have is all heresay because we cannot get [redacted] or any other employee that was present to testify on our behalf, but we would like to point out that there would be no logic for us to join this travel club, had it not been misrepresentedThe amount of money that we paid, $7095, is no small sum, and we would not have willingly paid that amount had we not believed that we were to gain some sort of benefit worth that amountWhen asked, "What was the primary reason you decided to become a Member of Saver Express today?", we responded with, "We were able to sell our timeshare and gain more flexibility with travel." We are currently owners of a timeshare and had no need to join a travel clubWhen we were presented with the offer of greater flexibility, which our timeshare cannot offer, and the possibility to sell our timeshare, we thought that this would be a great investment and fulfill our future travel needsAfter purchase into the travel club, our timeshare has not been sold, and we are part of a travel club that is not beneficial for us to useHad the product been presented with realistic discounts, we would not have purchased membership into the travel club I simply don't have the resources to do in depth investigations on Tripps Travel Network or [redacted] ***, so much of my information does come from the internet, but that does not mean the evidence is not validI did further research on [redacted] ***, the owner of Tripps [redacted] Network, whose name is also mentioned in the articles that I have already presented with regards to [redacted] ( [redacted] )Here, again, are the articles: [redacted] There is a warning posted by the Tuscon Revdex.com that mentions [redacted] as owner of [redacted] and warns consumers of this travel club's sales tacticsThis article sounds very familiar to what we encountered with Tripps Travel Network in Lahaina [redacted] Here is [redacted] 's Revdex.com listing: [redacted] I also discovered that Attorney General [redacted] is in the process of a lawsuit with another travel company that [redacted] is associated with: [redacted] , also known as [redacted] [redacted] Tripps Travel Network writes, "We have sold hundreds of membershipsIf we were so misleading, I am sure we would not have a merchant account available to us due to a large number of complaintsThat is not the case." We don't know if these previous partnerships between [redacted] ( [redacted] ) and [redacted] were intentional in overselling product, gaining trust and getting people to sign contractsTripps Travel Network can hold this signed contract over us, and while they claim that all of our comments are heresay, what we can show is evidence of the past behaviors of [redacted] and [redacted] that show that we were not the only ones who were misled by their sales presentation or sales tacticsIs it okay that any sales tactic can be used in a sales presentation, and so long as the contract gets signed, the company is not liable for any of the words or information that they used to get that contract signed? My family purchased Tripps Travel Network's program in 2016. The hotel savings have been great, plus we saved money on a condo in Gulf Shores. Nicole W.

Tripps Travel Network claims:great savings for its members, speak to agents in the US, cheaper than *** or others networks, sold us membership for $5k
My husband *** and I went to a presentation by Tripps Travel Network During this presentation, the presenter Jonathan ***, claimed that Tripps Travel Network (TNN) that exclusive travel benefits and access to reservations far cheaper than what we could get anywhere else We paid $5K for our membership We used it a couple of times and on one trip, saved $ Minimal savings were received on other trips, very minimal I looked on other travel engines such as ***, ***, ***, etc and the prices were either the same or cheaper Jon lied to us stating when we made travel reservations we would only speak to agents in the United States which proved to be untrue EVERY reservation was with someone in a foreign country who barely spoke english I called Jon to ask about this and he said he would check into it and he neve

+1

So far we have booked hotel rooms and the check in/out was totally no hassle and no surprises No complaints so far This is a good deal if you have time to really use it especially if retired Don't settle for the intial price they want to sale it to you for, trust me they come way way down if you hold out

If this review was based on the company that brought us to Las Vegas this review would be a star! What a joke! They lied about where we would stay, saying we would be center stripLast I check the Stratosp+here is not center stripAnd it's a dump! Plus the show tickets were worthless!
As for the TTN product we purchased, our first experience was a good oneIt was just a simple hotel stay for a weekend, but we got to stay at a nice Marriot for about $a night which was way better than I thought it would beHopefully future experiences will be positive as well

I was in Las Vegas for Viva Las Vegas car show this year- Got talked into buying an expensive plan from Tripps $9, - I'm an old lady and didn't read through every single page- they told me I could travel anywhere and really get fantastic prices at resorts or hotels, much better than I could enywhere else- well if you get on the computer, which I did that night, I found almost the same thing without heaving to pay almost $10,dollars for nothingCalled them back next morning to CANCEL- guess what they have a NO CANCELLATION EVEN MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY COULDN'T GET ME OUT OF ITSO BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just booked a week in Big Bear CAThe heat is getting too hot in Phoenix and decided to plan a getawayCalled TTN withing a 10-minute call to someone on American soil that understands my needs and wants got a bedroom for next weekLove this can't get better for what I paid it was the same as a campgroundThe fact is if you travel you saveLike a gym membership don't buy it if you're not going to work outThis has saved me over 3k first yearSo Bravo TTN

My family purchased Tripps Travel Network's program in The hotel savings have been great, plus we saved money on a condo in Gulf Shores

Buyer Beware!!!!!!!
Where to begin?
First we will start with the Allen Group who booked this mess They promised:
3/Ocean Cruise - Yes two nights but $65/person is due at reg
3/Vacation Passport * $up front
$Pampas Gift Certificate
Vegas Bite Card - Discount book
$Binions Slot Play -
$Dining Dough - Discount book
Show Tickets - Buy one get one free
$Travel Savings Dollars - Another scamYou can beat their prices on hotwire even when you use their travel dollars
However, the worst of all of this is the hotel (Alexa Park) they placed us in, HORRENDOUSWith paint peeling on the walls and the painted over tiles also peeling around the tub, carpet from the 80's that smelled horrible and beds that resembled army cots with creaky springs we couldn't wait to get out of there
Now TTN may say that this is the fault of the Allen Group Booking Agency but they are fully aware of the conditions of this group and actually talk about it while you are in their sales meetingsIn fact one of the selling factors was that the first one to accept the TTN package would be moved out of their existing hotel into nicer accommodations It would seem that an A+ rated Revdex.com company would also have a reputable system to attract customers
Some may say that you did get something for your money but let me state that for what we went through the $we paid Allen Group was a total SHAM!

Now we will move onto TTNWe did purchase the package for $Our Sales Repwas Michael, who was a kind man The Sales Pitch started out by talking about all of their qualities such as:
Concierge Assistance
Reduced Hotel Pricing
Reduced Travel Packages
Time Share Access
All this fell under the price of $15,
But Wait, We will reduce the price to
Then the negotiations began with promises of reduced prices for memberships in different clubs
We finally agreed on the $price with a myriad of wonderful promisesWe came, we saw, we purchasedOh me, oh my
Then the fun began I contacted the web site number and they didn't have our information about days later (understandable) After a call they finally straightened that out
Next, I did a web-site chat asking about a possible time-share in Hawaii in March They said they didn't have any and I asked why there were none available, wondering if I misunderstood, and she said that was not how the plan worked
So I checked out an Alaskan Cruise that was actually $more than just booking it through Priceline
Next I contacted the site again and did a live chat with Shenise (sp) This was the end of October I asked her to give me some information on lodgings for a Thanksgiving weekend in Boise, Idaho, (not really a hot-spot) She said she would send me an email about possibilities
November 6th,
I waited one week, with no response, and then contacted my Sales Rep, Michael, who was kind enough to give me his phone number He didn't answer but later sent me a text with the following;
Michael: "Hello its Michael sorry about the text my speaker in my phone is out I droped my phone unusual that don't get call backs that usually call people back I know they are revamping system right now" (Verbatim)
I responded this:
Me: "I'm just reading the Revdex.com reviews and we're not very impressed Tell me this is not a $scam
We will be contacting the Revdex.com and asking for our money back if there is not better service." (Verbatim)
Michael: "Its not, the Revdex.com reviews are all about marketing We would not be able to work out of the HiltonIf you have any concerns call He is the head of sales
I am also have savon call you today so you can get all set up with themAn if you have any concerns with the company have them answer all of them for you I'm just a sales rep I can do the best I can." (Verbatim)
November 20th,
I have still not received a call I am tired of trying to make this work
With the $paid and the future $199/year for concierge services this is an extremely over-priced, highly inefficient travel plan Stay as far away as possible

Was told one thing in the presentation and when tried to book on the website the discount were not there
One of the main reasons we purchased this travel club is because we were told when you add air, car and hotel together this is were the savings come inWell the web site will not allow you to book these items togetherSo when you book the separately they show you a discountThe prices are better if you go to the company's website directly (ie, *** or some other website anyone can get on) I requested a call back to discuss my frustration and was given an appointment for later that dayNeedless to say no one returned my callI called the number I received at the time we signed our contract and have not received a call back as of todayThey also told us about the great All Inclusive they have access toWhen I looked into thiscome to find out the pricing they showed up at the show was only for the hotel this did NOT include food, show's drinks(which is what an All

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2014/07/08) */
0n December 09, 1013, the Members attended a presentation with Tripps Travel Network and elected to purchase a membership. The new members were given a written contract to read and sign for the purchase of the membership. The member has...

filed a complaint that states "we were sold a travel service that could not follow through on the deals and discounts that were offered ih their sales presentation". The travel deals that are offered in the sales presentation are travel deals that are available to be booked on the spot. Our deals change daily and we update our presentation for the most recent specials. If the member wants to book the deals that we show, we can help them book those trips on the dey that they buy. In the travel industry, specifically pricing and availability, change continuosly due to many uncontrollable variables. The above customer did not mention that he wanted to book something that was shown in the presentation, but he could have as all deals are "real" and "live", but by the time he started trying to book something, it was weeks later. There is nothing in the contract, which is the controlling document that states the deals shown in the presentation are available year round. As with any other travel arrangements, there has to be availability. Mr. ** states he was "told" he could get a hotel stay at the [redacted] for $499 for any week in Maui. but they were not even given the option of the [redacted]. During the high season on Maui, there was no availability for that property. Contrary to what Mr. ** states in his complaint, there is no evidence he was informed the above rate was in anyway guaranteed if he bought a membership.
As Mr. ** states, the fulfillment company we are contracted with worked with him on more than one occasion to find his family accommodations in Maui. In fact, the fulfillment company found Mr. ** excellent pricing at reputable 3.5-4 star resorts on Maui. Mr. ** said this was not up to his standards. He also mentioned the presentation mentioned members can stay in 5 star hotels and resorts. While tha membership does offer 1-5 star accommodations, again everything is based on availability. Where Mr. ** wanted to stay was not available, and we feel a suitable alternative was presented to him. It was his choice to decide not to book what was available.
The complainant also states "we are at fault for not reading all of the documents before signing". A contract is for the protection of both the customer and the company. The documents do not list specific discount amounts or percentages, but does state that The Destination Provider [redacted] and Leisure products shall be competitively priced with overall better rates made available than by other travel providers in the travel industry and will offer the MEMBER the best rate on most products. The complainant, in several areas, states he was "told", or "after being told", etc. Since it is not in writing, then it is hearsay. There is a line in the paperwork that asks "Has everything that was promised to you been documented"? They initialed YES-. This question is within the paper work so that they can express specific promises, guarantees, etc., and cannot come back later and say "I was told..." or "I was promised..." If a customer is told something specifically by a sales agent, AND the customer is asked if this promise was documented, AND they state that in fact that everything is documented, then I feel as if everyone's protected, as is the case with Mr. **. We have sold hundreds of memberships. If we were so misleading, I am sure we would not have a merchant account available to us due to a large number of complaints. That is not the case.
Mr.** wants to blame everything on a sales agent, but everything he is saying about the sales agent is something he found on the internet and cannot be verified. His entire complaint is hearsay and nothing he states can be verified. The contract and other forms are the basis of the membership, and there is nothing within these documents that can give validity to Mr. **'s complaint. We spoke to him about this matter and explained to him that unless he received something in writing from the sales agent, then the contract stands.
I am attaching the contract for your review. We ask this dispute to be found in our favor and closed.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2014/07/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
While Tripps [redacted] Network has pointed out our fault in not reading through the contract properly, which we already admitted, we are not satisfied with their answer because we feel like they misrepresented the product that they were selling in their sales presentation. Because of this misrepresentation, we willingly signed the contract, only to find out later that they could not deliver on what was sold. They mentioned in their letter that if we had wanted the packages offered during the sales presentation, we needed to book them that day. We did not know this. We were given the impression that these sales and discounts were typical for most vacations booked through their service. What we discovered later, after trying to use their service, is that the deals and discounts shown in their presentations are exceptions rather than the norm for locations and hotel chains that we were interested in. I understand the need to put your best products or deals forward in order to sell memberships, but if these deals that you are showing are the exception and not the norm, then this would show a misrepresented product.

We understand Tripps Travel Network's point in saying that what evidence we have is all heresay because we cannot get [redacted] or any other employee that was present to testify on our behalf, but we would like to point out that there would be no logic for us to join this travel club, had it not been misrepresented. The amount of money that we paid, $7095, is no small sum, and we would not have willingly paid that amount had we not believed that we were to gain some sort of benefit worth that amount. When asked, "What was the primary reason you decided to become a Member of Saver Express today?", we responded with, "We were able to sell our timeshare and gain more flexibility with travel." We are currently owners of a timeshare and had no need to join a travel club. When we were presented with the offer of greater flexibility, which our timeshare cannot offer, and the possibility to sell our timeshare, we thought that this would be a great investment and fulfill our future travel needs. After purchase into the travel club, our timeshare has not been sold, and we are part of a travel club that is not beneficial for us to use. Had the product been presented with realistic discounts, we would not have purchased membership into the travel club.
I simply don't have the resources to do in depth investigations on Tripps Travel Network or [redacted], so much of my information does come from the internet, but that does not mean the evidence is not valid. I did further research on [redacted], the owner of Tripps [redacted] Network, whose name is also mentioned in the articles that I have already presented with regards to [redacted]). Here, again, are the articles:
[redacted]
There is a warning posted by the Tuscon Revdex.com that mentions [redacted] as owner of [redacted] and warns consumers of this travel club's sales tactics. This article sounds very familiar to what we encountered with Tripps Travel Network in Lahaina.
[redacted]
Here is [redacted]'s Revdex.com listing: [redacted]
I also discovered that Attorney General [redacted] is in the process of a lawsuit with another travel company that [redacted] is associated with: [redacted], also known as [redacted].
[redacted]
Tripps Travel Network writes, "We have sold hundreds of memberships. If we were so misleading, I am sure we would not have a merchant account available to us due to a large number of complaints. That is not the case." While these above complaints are not against Tripps Travel Network specifically, these are complaints against travel club companies owned by [redacted]. We are not the only ones who are dissatisfied with a product from a [redacted] owned travel company, and for his name to be associated with both a Revdex.com advisory, as well as a lawsuit shows that our complaints have validity to them.
There are a lot of questions that remain unanswered. After trying to reach [redacted]) many times since he gave us his card, he has not returned any of our calls and has since disconnected his phone. Tripps Travel Network says that [redacted] no longer works for them, and we do not know where he is, or why he is no longer part of the company. We cannot get a written statement from [redacted] or any of the Tripps Travel Network employees that were present at our sales presentation because frankly, who would testify against their employer? We don't know if these previous partnerships between [redacted]) and [redacted] were intentional in overselling product, gaining trust and getting people to sign contracts. Tripps Travel Network can hold this signed contract over us, and while they claim that all of our comments are heresay, what we can show is evidence of the past behaviors of [redacted] and [redacted] that show that we were not the only ones who were misled by their sales presentation or sales tactics. Is it okay that any sales tactic can be used in a sales presentation, and so long as the contract gets signed, the company is not liable for any of the words or information that they used to get that contract signed? We feel like we are being punished for a decision that we made because a company misrepresented their product and took advantage of our trust. Tripps Travel Network needs to be held accountable for their actions.
We have attempted, but have not used any of the services of the travel club. Tripps Travel Network holds tightly to their contract, but they also have the power to rescind this agreement as our lack of use of their membership has not cost them anything. We would gladly subtract the amount of $150 in activities received, and the cost of the $60 [redacted] dinner certificate from our $7095 refund amount. We feel like this would be a fair resolution to this complaint.
