Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:In regards to Tristate response. Its amazing to me, (and probably you) that Tristate in their years of experience and their A+ rating at Revdex.com and knowledge of roofing would not ask if there was an HOA in my neighborhood(Which I did bring up, and they did acknowledge)For Tristate to claimand I quote in their rebuttal"Nothing was noted in the contract about any HOA approval as he says or statesNor brought up" (regarding the HOA)Is eitherinexperience on their part (being in roofing, for as many years as they claim) or a complete lie(It is a complete LIE!).
However not being put in the contract was planned all alongNot only did I bring it up once, but twiceTristate Roofing failed to explain why there were two offersThe first offer was over Fifty thousand dollarsThe contract they had me sign said, upon credit approval. When they found out that I only qualified for fifty thousand. Tristate eager to trap meCame up with a miracle discount of $49,just $below what I qualified for(amazing)they had no problem driving to my house and telling me how lucky I wasThat they had a *** down on the roof I was purchasingthrowing another contract in front of me, like they were going out of styleDuring both timesI told Tristate that the HOA has not approved the roof yet. Both times they acknowledge that it would not be a problem(This has definitely turned into a problem).I did receive a welcome phone call from Tristate and a letter (which I have, and will gladly fax to you if needed)The phone call and letter both state welcome to Tristate and someone will contact you with more informationHowever the follow up call or letter never happenedI never heard another word from Tristate until the day I called and informed them that the roof was not approved.Tristate also claims, and I quote "To make a happy customer at this point we offered to upgrade for free the style that was approved by his HOA...He still wasn't satisfied with that which I was surprised." This call just happed yesterday 11/02/(Nice try) In this conversation which lasted about minutes. The president of Tristate threatened me withAnd I quote again"My father is a judge and if you get a lawyer to fight this you will loose." He also brought up my place of employment. which I interrupted him immediately and asked "what does my place of employment have to do with anything? (if you think he was surprised)He did not have an answer to my question. The Bottom line is my HOA did not approve the roofEven if I wanted to install the roof (which, for obvious reasons I do not) I cannot. Tristate is aware of HOAs. This is why they purposely left it out of the contract. This should have been aSorry, it didn't work out, but if you need anything in the future, feel free to call(That's what a company with good customer service would have done)Not try to threaten and intimidate the customer.Sincerely,*** *** Sincerely,*** ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] signed a contract for a new roof and provided finance paperwork on 9-17-2015. He even re signed additional paperwork on 9-23-2015 and provided us his pay stub. He also received a legal right to resend this agreement per law, also signed by him. He received a welcome phone call on 9-28...

and a walk thru on what would happen next. We processed his paperwork, ordered custom beam for his job and ordered eagle view and material and sent him a welcome letter. On 10-5-2015 he was called and placed on the schedule for install. On 10-20-2015 he called to try to cancel his contract. This was way out of the 3 day right to cancel at this point. His explanation was that his HOA didn't approve the style of shingle he bought. Nothing was noted in the contract about any HOA approval as he says or states nor brought up. To make a happy customer at this point we offered to UPGRADE FOR FREE the style that was approved by his HOA and had a considerable cost difference. He still wasn't satisfied with that which I was surprised. I found out than he received a price from another company offering services for less money and this is why he was trying to back out of his contract. He threatened to bash us on social media and I told him that would be slander at this point as we did nothing wrong here. At this point [redacted] has a valid contract to fulfill or pay a penalty which was on the contract and explained to him.
